Dipset leader Cam'ron either is fibbing or has someone using his signature as reports claim clothing line DOPE has lashed back with proof of Killa agreeing to a collaboration deal.

According to reports, DOPE has exposed a signed agreement from Cam over their capsule collection.

[Update: DOPE Responds] As seen in the paragraph above, Cam’ron expresses that there was never a deal set in place, and that he had never signed off on anything with DOPE, but wait just a minute. DOPE released a photo today that clearly shows Cam’ron’s John Hancock. Something doesn’t add up here. Hmmm….. Check out the photo in the gallery above, and below. (HNHH)

Cam’s anti-DOPE comments went widespread earlier in the week.

“That’s something that my manager British [Young] had worked out, and I knew nothing about it. To make a long story short, I didn’t know I was as big as I was in the fashion world. When I did these ALIFE shirts, a lot of people hollered at me to do capsule collections with them. This dude calls from DOPE like, ‘Yo, we’re putting out the capsule Cam clothes deal that we made in a couple weeks.’ I never signed off on anything with them. I didn’t cosign on the artwork or the designs. I’m not going to allow them to have had conversations with my manager a year and a half ago about doing something because their company is in trouble, and now they see that I’m doing good in fashion, they think they just gon’ throw this out there. I’m not cosigning that. I’ll put it on Instagram and everything that I’m not doing it.” (Karen Civil)

He also credited long-time friend/music mogul Damon “Dame” Dash for putting him up onto the fashion game.

“To be honest, this whole clothing thing is new to me. As far as the jerseys and stuff like that, Dame Dash and his baby mother, Rachel Roy, got all these clothes connects, so it just got me more into it. I’m really just playing catch-up, but I do have a lot deals on the table. I’m just weighing my options out.” (Karen Civil)

Photos and reports of Cam’s DOPE collection scattered across the Internet a few days ago.

Every season is Killa Season. Cam’ron’s latest mixtape, Ghetto Heaven Vol. 1, dropped yesterday, but there’s way more on the horizon for his fans. No, we’re not talking about a new Diplomats album in the works, but Cam’ron has a collaboration with Los Angeles streetwear brand DOPE that releases this Saturday, October 5. The collection references some of the best moments of the Harlem rapper’s career: There are T-shirts that say, “You Mad,” and “I Used To Get It In Ohio,” along with other lyrics such as “Go and get your Wet Wipes,” and even “Yo, I advice you to step son, ‘fore I f*ck your moms and make you my step son.” Of course, any Cam’ron clothing collection wouldn’t be complete without some pink, which is found on a black “snapback” that reads, “DOPE” in pink letters across the front. But instead of having a snap closure on the back, the hat is kept tight by a black and pink bandanna that needs to be tied in a knot. (Complex)
