Top Dawg Entertainment‘s Ab-Soul is back on his grizzly. The elusive hip-hop artist has surprised fans with his first single in two years, “Huey Knew.”
The unexpected banger premiered Friday (September 30) and features a guest spot from musician Da$h.
The next artist on TDE’s prolific release schedule appears to be Ab-Soul, who today put out a new song called “Huey Knew”. Though he’s featured on a number of tracks this year — most recently Danny Brown’s knockout posse cut “Really Doe” alongside King Kendrick and Earl Sweatshirt — this marks his first original cut in two years. Over an eerie, smoke-filled production, Soulo rhymes about blunts, name-drops ASAP Mob, and delivers a shout-out to the coolest POTUS ever, saying, “I hope I’m in Obama’s iPod.” (Consequence of Sound)

Earlier this year, Ab and Top Dawg’s Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith clashed over his status on the star-studded label roster.
Shortly after Ab’s comments, Top Dawg responded to him on Twitter.
Ab is actually better than Kendrick to me. Just doesn’t get pushed for whatever reason
