According to reports, Rocky’s long-awaited LP could now sell up to 150,000 copies based on weekend sales projections.

YOUR TOP 15: RCA should top both the album and singles sales charts next week, as A$AP Rocky and Justin Timberlake (with expected first-week sales in the neighborhood of 350k) make noise in an otherwise typical January sales week. Here’s how it looks headed into the weekend: * A$AP Rocky (RCA) 140-150k * Kidz Bop Kids (Razor & Tie) 65-70k Les Misérables (Republic) 40-45k (HITS Daily Double)

Initial one-day projections had the solo effort estimates stopping at the 140,000 copies sold mark.

YOUR ONE-DAYS: RCA’s hip-hop breakout A$AP Rocky is certain to debut at #1 next week and return the top of the chart to six digits, moving somewhere in the neighborhood of 130-140k. The week’s other key debut, from Razor & Tie’s Kidz Bop Kids, should be in the 65-75k range. Would we like to hear the latter cover the former? We would. (HITS Daily Double)

The rapper’s album has received ample viral support and promotion courtesy of fellow artists like Young Money’s Drake.

“A fuckin $AP album out today. Proud of my dawg. Hurry up and buy.@asvpxrocky,” Drake tweeted January 14th. (Drake’s Twitter)

Recently, Polo Grounds founder Bryan Leach reacted to the rapper’s LP leaking online weeks before its release date.

“Nah, I still have faith,” Leach said when asked if his sales expectations have changed. “That’s not just sh*t-taking. I think this is a new world. This is the new way that sh*t works. Even if it never leaked I would have had to cross my fingers on January 15. Maybe I’ll cross two fingers instead of one.” (XXL Mag)
