A$AP Rocky Ready To Battle Sophomore Jinx, Says He’s Coming “ASAP”

New York rapper A$AP Rocky is ready to battle it out on the sales chart again after announcing plans to put out a sophomore album sooner than later.

Although he would not dish out an exact drop date, Rocky promised a new solo release is in the works.

The Harlem, New York native popped up at a Kid Cudi concert over the weekend.

Clad in his “Satellite Academy Space Suit,” he performed some Cudder classics and new material off his latest album Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon including “Balmain Jeans.” He also brought out A$AP Rocky and King Chip for his Indicud cut “Brothers,” and treated the crowd to a previously unreleased song. Recent plans were for Rocky’s A$AP Mob L.O.R.D. album to land on store shelves earlier this month.

ASAP Mob is releasing their heavily anticipated L.O.R.D. group album on March 4th. The collective cut will feature new collaborations from ASAP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, ASAP Twelvyy, ASAP Nast, ASAP Ant, and we’re assuming an all-star supporting cast of guest appearances. Since an official track list and cover art have yet to surface, stay tuned for more information. (XXL Mag)

Rocky’s debut toppled its competition on the sales chart last year.

New York rap newcomer A$AP Rocky’s Long.Live.A$AP crushed its competition at No. 1 this week. According to Nielsen Soundscan, his long-awaited debut has shelled out 139,000 albums after seven days in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
