Harlem rap newcomer A$AP Rocky is silencing gossip and rumors surrounding his perceived romantic relationship with Rihanna by revealing he has another love interest in his life.
Although he would not unveil who the woman is, Rocky swayed away from sex-related questions about RiRi and admitted he has a girlfriend at last week’s pre-Video Music Awards show.
“Yeah, yeah, she hit us up,” Rocky told radio personality Bootleg Kev when asked if Rihanna reached out for their “Cockiness” remix. “I got on it ASAP, it was an honor to work with her. [Did we smoke something?] Nah, I didn’t get to do none of that with her yet. [laughs] Yeah man, we’ll probably smoke something. She seems like a cool chick. [I grabbed a lot of Magnums from the table next to us?] I grabbed a lot of Magnums. [laughs] [Rihanna likes to get it in?] Eh, eh, I don’t know about that. I’ve got a girlfriend now, I’ma get in trouble. [laughs] [Is Iggy Azalea my girlfriend?] Oh sh*t. [laughs] Oh, you crazy. Oh…” (Bootleg Kev)
Last week, Rocky made headlines after publicly groping RiRi during the awards ceremony.
Fresh off of walking the red carpet in a white ensemble, Rihanna hit the stage of the MTV Video Music Awards dressed in all red for a performance of ‘Cockiness’. Ri first appeared on stage in a chair while displaying her bad gal swag before showing off a few dance moves. Meanwhile, Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky joined her on stage for a few moments while delivering his verse which was recently added to the remix. Before he left the stage, he placed a nice firm, ‘Who’s your daddy’ grip on Rihana’s azz, which probably made both Drake and Chris Brown shift in their seats uncomfortably. The musicians recently linked up for their current “Cockiness” remix track.
Just when you thought she was done releasing singles off her 2011 album Talk That Talk, Rihanna calls on A$AP Rocky for the remix to the Bangladesh-produced “Cockiness (Love It).” The self-proclaimed “Pretty Motherfu**er” kicks off the raunchy Rih-mix, which will be available on iTunes this week. Five-time nominee RiRi will open Thursday’s MTV VMAs with “Cockiness” and her No. 1 hit “We Found Love” with Calvin Harris. (Rap-Up)
Earlier in the summer, Rocky denied having a romantic relationship with Grand Hustle’s Iggy Azalea.
“No, nah, I’m not dating her,” Rocky told Jenny after complimenting her looks. “I do like blondes. [Is the relationship over?] How do you ever know there was a relationship? [laughs] Nah, I’m not dating her. [Were we having sex?] Ummm… [laughs] You tell me. I hope so, that would be a beautiful sight.” (“Jenny Boom Boom TV”)
