New York rapper A$AP Ferg may have a big week ahead of him after heating up Sunday’s Hot 97 Summer Jam annual concert by allegedly claiming he had sexual relations with an R&B singer.
Along with the steamy possible R&B scandal, Ferg also provided an update on his upcoming Trap Lord project.
“Did @ASAPferg just say on stage he had sexual relations with an R&B singer?,” Hot 97 radio personaltiy Miss Info posted onto her Miss Info TV Twitter page June 2nd.
“.@ASAPferg just announced his ‘Trap Lord’ project drops on August 20th! #SJXX” (Miss Info TV’s Twitter)
Some reports claim Ferg took direct aim at G.O.O.D Music’s Teyana Taylor during his on-stage performance.
Fans now know when they can expect a full body of commercial work from A$AP Ferg, as the New York rapper made the reveal at Hot 97?s Summer Jam. The date for his debut album is August 20th. Actually, it was Hot 97 jock Peter Rosenberg that made the announcement right before Ferg hit the stage. Then, as he performed, Ferg had words for fellow Harlem artist Teyana Taylor. He rapped, “Who you know who got big tithes – Teyana/ Sucked on em when I lived out in Harlem/ got signed back Pharrell and started acting like a prima donna.” (AHH)
Speculation could connect A$AP Ferg and R&B singer Rihanna as the rapper’s pal A$AP Rocky is now infamous for publicly groping her at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.
“Yeah I expected people to say that me and Rihanna were sleeping around. We’re just cool,” Rocky told MTV News while out on the set for A$AP Ferg’s “Work” remix video on April 10. “Man dudes be tryin’ to front like they tappin’ Rihanna’s [anatomy] and all that, but they don’t be hittin’ it.” “That’s really a friend. She supports me, man. She’s bringing me out, she ain’t have to do that. That girl came to my Coachella a year ago. I got nothing but love for Rih Rih, that’s the homey right there,” he continued. “I ain’t tryin’ to get in no trouble with no Rihanna rumors because I’m not f—in’ Rihanna. That’s somebody’s elses.” (MTV)
Outside of the gossip, Ferg recently talked about the close-knit bond he shares with A$AP.
“When people left or got booted out of A$AP Mob, it was because they didn’t see the vision and believe. They weren’t for the team. When Rocky got that $3 million deal, it combed out the bullsh*t and left the real n*ggas. Those of us who stayed are prospering. If I was dumb, I could’ve left, like, “I need to go and get my $3 million.” It’s a chain effect. Rocky goes first, whoever goes second is stepping up to the plate, and so on. You’ve got to play your position.” (Complex)
