Gin resorted to his Instagram page to set the record straight on his estranged wife.

I need to address yesterday's rumor because it is not totally accurate and I don't want my wife being made out to be the bad guy here. We are NOT yet divorced, but we ARE currently separated and working towards coming to our own agreement, without lawyers, to amicably and fairly divorce. We've kept it quiet because it is really no ones business but ours and our family's. Therefore, reports that she left me "broke" are untrue. She has been a good wife and mother and my poor choices and actions over many years have lead to this. I am on a path of becoming a better man and part of that is taking responsibility for my own choices and behavior in life, so that's what I'm doing by releasing this statement. I thank everyone who has been there for us through these trying times. You are appreciated. God bless

Check out what Ginuwine’s attorney said about his money woes right here…

Earlier in the week, Ginuwine’s attorney revealed how much of a financial crunch his one-time client was in.

“Mr. Lumpkin is very close to declaring bankruptcy,” Ginuwine’s lawyer, Bruce Beckner, said. “He owes my firm a ton of money and a bunch of other people a ton of money. He owes Uncle Sam 300-odd thousand dollars in back income taxes.” (NY Daily News)

Music producer Robert Reives also dished on what Ginuwine owed him.

Beckner attributed the money trouble to a recent divorce from his wife, the rapper Solé. Reives says he is owed royalties from a $1.25 million five-album deal Ginuwine signed with Sony, and seeks as much as $250,000. Ginuwine argues that Reives’ claim falls outside the statute of limitations, and that he isn’t owed anything. The two sides will argue their case in Manhattan Federal Court Monday. (NY Daily News)

Following the widespread coverage, Gin posted up some motivation words onto his Instagram page.

Dear Lord Today I ask for strength to endure what I am facing,I ask for focus,I ask for wisdom,I ask for the peace that passes all understanding,I ask to be the example of what a man, father, and husband should be.The world needs people that they can observe and see your work in as well as those you have touched undoubtedly in the most positive way. Oh Lord allow me to continue to walk the walk and talk the talk as I move forward, continue the shine on me and speaking to me,now it's day 11 and it's getting easier and easier just as you promised allow me to love those who don't love me allow me to smile when inside im frowning or hurting guide me and have it your will your way……all these things I ask for in the name of Jesus Christ…..Amen
