A few days after 50 Cent applauded Odd Future affiliate Frank Ocean's decision to come forward with his sexuality, the G-Unit leader now says he wants to put in studio time with him.

Fif said artists like Ocean and Rihanna are on his wishlist of R&B acts to collaborate with.

“He’s cool. The ‘Novocane’ record was dope,” 50 Cent said during promotion of his SMS headphones range. I don’t have a problem with Frank Ocean. I think If you have a problem with Frank Ocean you should have had a problem with Luther Vandross. You should have had a problem with Kenny Green. It’s not the first time a male RnB artist chose an alternative lifestyle.” After saying that he would like to collaborate with Rihanna, 50 Cent added: “I’d want to work with Frank Ocean. It’s just content now. Because you just left that fresh on people’s minds, now what is the song about? You know what I’m saying? When you did ‘Novocane’ it wasn’t a love record. It was dope, just the music, the content. A lot of times people in the RnB cling to love. I get really excited when they make really strong efforts that don’t actually have love involved, or relationship-based content.” (Digital Spy)

The G-Unit general recently called out people judging Ocean over his sexuality.

“Anyone that has an issue with Frank Ocean is an idiot,” 50 Cent told MTV UK. “I think Frank Ocean is a talented artist, I think he’s created material that made me know his name, that impressed me, with things he said on a song like ‘Novacane.’ ” For Fif, Ocean’s efforts in the studio are way more important than his goings-on in the bedroom, and because Frank has delivered exemplary performances on record, his romantic revelation is a non-issue for the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ MC. “It could be revolutionary or it could be a tragedy,” he said before noting the timing of Frank’s announcement and his Channel Orange album release. “You can call it brave or you can call it marketing, because it was intentional; it wasn’t an accident.” (MTV UK)

Outside of R&B talk, 50 recently addressed his past feud with Interscope Records.

As far as his next solo LP, the one that has been talked about since he released Before I Self Destruct in 2009, 50 is looking for an end-of-the-year drop now that he has cleared up all issues with Interscope. “They’re in full support of me now. We cleared up audit issues. That’s always an issue, when you get to the final album or the final requirement you end up going through the books with everything that you’ve done,” he said. “Once those things are resolved, everyone is ready to get back to work, and that’s where we’re at.” (MTV)

Earlier this month, Fif announced he would sideline his official Interscope Records solo album through the fall.

“The appetizer is coming tomorrow 5 murder numbers,” he tweeted early Tuesday (July 3).

“My official Interscope album is called STREET KING IMMORTAL due out in nov”

“You can’t buy album 5 it’s FREE street king immortal will be for sale#SMSaudio” (50 Cent’s Twitter)
