50 Cent Vows To Stop Chris Brown & Rihanna Jokes, “No More Reference To That From Me In Any Way”

50 Cent has promised to stop creating parodies based on Chris Brown and Rihanna‘s publicized domestic dispute saying, at this point, “it’s not funny anymore.”

The rapper’s decision comes as a direct result of viewing a recently leaked LAPD image of the female pop singer.

“I thought that was something you could use for humor, like any other comedian would utilize current events to put into their actual [presentation], being humorous a little bit,” he said in an interview. “After I saw the photograph, that wasn’t funny anymore…It shifts the whole thing…There’s a point when you’re already past a woman fighting you back. You look at [the picture], and it’s obviously past that point. There’s some issues there that definitely gotta be addressed. Not to take any shots at Chris or Rihanna or take sides in any way, [but] it’s really not cool. It’s not funny anymore, so there will definitely be no more reference to that from me in any way.” (MTV News)

Fif’s “Officer Ricky: Everybody Hates Chris” debuted on ThisIs50.com two weeks ago.

“Even though he has huge rap dreams, Officer Ricky still takes his career as a police officer very seriously as he chases down Chris Brown, the latest in his quest to lock up all of the music industry,” the episode’s description reads. “Officer Ricky then hangs out with some of his NYPD buddies and shoots a music video right in New York City [including Foxy Brown, DJ Khaled and Fat Joe.] Damn 50, take that!” (This Is 50)

Along with 50, fellow rap mogul Jay-Z has also expressed concern over Rihanna’s condition.

“This is a real situation,” Jay said in an interview. “You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that…I just think we should all support her. She’s goin through a tough time. You have to realize she’s a young girl, as well. She’s very young.” (People)

Despite the outporing of support from fans and celebrities alike, Rihanna released a statement assuring fans of her safe recovery last Friday (February 20).

“At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown,” says the statement from her rep on Friday. “She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.” The statement also acknowledges she’s going through “a difficult time.” It comes hours after the Web site TMZ released a photo that purportedly shows the battered face of Rihanna. Friday marks Rihanna’s 21st birthday. (Associated Press)
