G-Unit head 50 Cent recently came clean on his past high-profile relationships and why things ended so abruptly with notable hook-ups like Hollywood actress Vivica A. Fox.
Despite things ending in separation, Fif said he has maintained friendly relationships with ex-girlfriends Ciara and Chelsea Handler.
“I haven’t, I havne’t, but I spoke to her grandmother,” Fif said when asked if he had congratulated Ciara on her recent engagement to rap star Future. “She’s a sweetheart. Chelsea [Handler] was cool. I might actually do her show before it’s over. Yeah, yeah [we’re still friends] and me and Ciara are still friends. It’s not like I don’t appreciate the time we spent during that period and you usually find out about my relationships after they’re finished.” (“The Rickey Smiley Morning Show”)
The Unit head also shared a few words on how things ended with Vivica.
“That was an accident,” Fif said referring to his romance with Vivica. “That happened so fast. I was so green I was like the front lawn. You know how a woman says she needs closure or whatever that conversation is? That might spin me right back into the actual relationship. It’s the touring. Our lives would be moving us in different directions at the same time. So it’s enough space for us to actually be into each other. But if you’re away from each other and it’s not right, then she’ll start getting off into things and you’ll start getting into things at the same time. I like to float away. Recently, 50 suggested love always boiled down to being able to make some type of compromise.
“You know how you know when it’s love? It’s when you compromise things that you would never do for another person, regardless to how difficult it is for you make the decision to do it… You know I would never do nothing like that for anyone else at any other point. [It’s] the minute you find yourself making a compromise and trying to create balance between you and someone else because you want to continue that friendship.” (Billboard)
Back in 2012, Chelsea Handler said 50’s past relationship with Ciara tore them apart.
“[I asked him] ‘You’re telling me this girl wants to get back together with you but she’s upset that you’re dating me, is that what you’re saying,'” Handler told radio host Howard Stern recalling her questioning 50 about Ciara appearing on her talk show. “And he’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah. When she comes, just know that’s what she’s after.’ Whatever I called him was probably the worst thing you could say to a black person, short of calling him the N-word. Not a black person, any person. I said you’re like a street person, basically, something along the lines of being a gangster. It was really, really offensive and I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again.” (“The Howard Stern Show”)
