According to Fif, he has family members living there and does not get to spend a lot of time at his crib.

“I haven’t been to that house much. I travel a lot. I probably should take it off the market. I have family living there. They love riding their three-wheelers up and down the block. You know the street is ’50’ Poplar Hill Road? Marshall Mathers [Eminem] wrote on the stop sign on the street. I might just modify it and do some different things with it.” (ESPN)

A couple years ago, Curtis Jackson slashed his mansion’s purchase price.

The 52-room, 50,000 square-foot mansion was once the property of former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, who bought it in 1996 from a Lithuanian businessman. Yes, this estate is in Farmington, not lower Fairfield County, but it is the home of world-famous rapper, actor and entrepreneur, 50 Cent, also known as Curtis James Jackson III. Originally listed for $18.5 million, the asking price has been lowered to $9,999,999 million, after an intermediate stop at $14.5 million. (CT Post)

In 2009, 50 had marked the price down to just over $10 million.

The price of the Connecticut mega-mansion owned by rapper 50 Cent has dropped again — to $10.9 million. The New York City rapper bought it for $4.1 million and said it had “a ‘Miami Vice’ feel” and spent $6 million on renovations and repairs. The home was for sale for nearly two years before being pulled off the market in May with the initial $18.5 million price dropped to $14.5 million late last year. 50 Cent says he’s tired of the two-hour commute to New York City and wants to downsize. (Hartford Courant)

50 previously cited the home’s overwhelming size for motivating its sale.

“That’s why I’m downsizing, I need somewhere where I can feel at home. It feels like I’m in a hotel,” 50 said in a recent interview. “There’s a nightclub. You know how people have like a focus group? I have that for my music, like, 1,500 people and play it (new songs). The neighbors are so far away they can’t even hear us.” 50 also wants to downsize because he’s tired of the two-hour commute to New York City almost every day. (VIBE)
