While details are still emerging, Fif’s new book is currently in its early stages.

Acclaimed actor, tireless entrepreneur and occasional rapper 50 Cent has announced his next eagerly anticipated extension of the 50 Cent brand. According to The Associated Press, the man born Curtis Jackson has begun work on a fitness book to be published in January 2013 by Avery Books, because of course he has. (NBC New York)

The book will be co-written by Bodybuilding.com editor-in-chief Jeff O’Connell.

The buff rapper says he wants to help people “make positive changes and take charge of their overall health.” “Formula 50” will be the latest credit for 50 Cent as an author. He recently released the teen novel “Playground” and also wrote “Pieces to Weight, The 50th Law.” The rapper’s latest book will be co-written by Jeff O’Connell, editor-in-chief of Bodybuilding.com. Known as a longtime health advocate, 50 purchased a share of VitaminWater and launched his own Formula 50 flavor in 2004.

You’ll see 50 Cent in ads for his own flavor of upscale Glacéau Vitaminwater. The ads promote Formula 50, a grape-flavor water with 50% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamins, which he helped concoct last year. Glaceau approached him after learning he’s a fan of their other designer waters. In the ads, 50 Cent reads The Wall Street Journal, retrieves the mail at his Connecticut home, records in a studio and works out at a gym. The ads are designed to show that Glaceau is part of his daily routine. (USA Today)

While fans await the new project, they can currently get their hands on Fif’s new anti-bullying Playground book.

“I’ll be the first to admit that not everything I’ve done in my life has been role-model material. I’ve been on the wrong side of the law. I’ve been in violent situations. I’ve also been a bully. I know how a person gets to be like that. That’s why I wanted to tell thisstory: to show a kid who has become a bully–how and why that happened, and whether or not he can move past it.” (Playground)
