In Fif’s opinion, “My Life” represents one of his biggest tracks to date.

“The choppers spot light in the my life video is a metaphor for fame. You can run but you can’t hide from it. SMSaudio,” Fif tweeted November 29th.

“MY LIFE is one of the biggest songs I’v ever wrote. I’m not back, I’m better thank for making me work harder.SMSaudio” (50 Cent’s Twitter)

Earlier this week, Fif performed the new track on popular music competition show “The Voice.”

Well tonight The Voice viewers got a real treat as 50 Cent and Adam Levine joined forces to perform live 50 Cent’s recent hit “My Life”. As if watching sexy Adam Levine live on The Voice each week were not enough, to watch him perform on stage a song which has only just released this week is just about more than all us swooning fan girls can take! The Hip-hop giant 50 Cent’s latest release featuring Eminem and Maroon 5‘s frontman Adam Levine has some pretty incredible and keepin’ it real lyrics as it paints a picture of the pitfalls of fame and the desire to escape the larger than life image one’s life has become. Last week, “My Life” producer S1 discussed how the star-studded collaboration came together.

“So for the next year or so 50 Cent would mention me in all his interviews about me producing on his album. Through the grapevine I was hearing Eminem hopped on the record then from an Executive at Interscope Records I was told Adam Levine was gonna be on the record. Fast forward through 3 mixtapes and 1 album later, the song stood the test of time and its about to come out now as a single. Nobody but God because its very rare that an artist holds on to a beat for 2 ½ years with the face of music changing so fast these days. Oh I forgot to mention Just Blaze called me out the blue about a year ago. He was in the studio with Fif and they was trying to see which one of my beats to put Eminem on. Fif was saying the beat that is now “My Life” but Just Blaze was trying to talk him into using the other beat that Fif wanted from me. Crazy huh!” (iStandard Producers)

A few days ago, Fif promised to deliver his Street King Immortal album this winter.

Hard to believe that it’s been almost a decade since 50 Cent crashed the rap world with his meteoric debut LP, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, but on February 6, 2013, Fif’s sonic baby will hit the 10-year mark. 5-0 won’t hit the anniversary on the head though. On Tuesday (November 27), he tweeted that Street King will actually drop on February 26. That release date comes not long after MTV News sat with him and buddy Eminem on the Detroit set of Fif’s “My Life” video, where he assured us that the oft-delayed album would come in the same month as his seminal LP: “February, definitely; I don’t want to miss that so it won’t go past February.” (MTV)
