Reports of Peete’s scolding and the aftermath of her open letter emerged Thursday (July 5).

Actress Holly Robinson Peete is celebrating a personal victory after rapper 50 Cent took heed of her plea and agreed to remove a series of offensive posts from Twitter. The former “21 Jump Street” star, whose eldest son Rodney, Jr. is autistic, was furious when she heard that the hip-hop mogul had insulted a rude Twitter follower on Monday night by telling him he looked autistic, and she leaped into action and wrote an open letter to 50 Cent, asking him to stop using such hurtful language. She went on to ask 50 Cent to remove the tweets to prevent impressionable kids from following his bad example, and she got exactly what she asked for on Wednesday when the rapper deleted the comments from his site. Marking the achievement, Peete writes on Twitter, “Really thankful that @50cent took down those tweets.” (SF Gate)

Details of what Fif reportedly tweeted have also surfaced.

In a note to him, Peete wrote, “When I read it (his tweets) my heart sank. I thought maybe your account had been hacked. No such luck. Granted, his comment was completely out of line but your retort: ‘i just saw your picture fool you look autistic’- was so so disappointing. I mean, that’s your comeback?? “And you didn’t stop there. You went on to joke about not wanting ‘special ed (education) kids’ on your timeline. Seriously, This is how you use your platform of 8 million plus followers??” After she asked him to remove the tweets, 50 Cent obliged, deleting them all from his timeline. (Atlanta Black Star)

In 2010, the rapper caught heat after making a perceived anti-gay Twitter statement.

“The other night I made a joke about a blow job. My male followers enjoyed it. So I then went on to joke about women receiving the same.,” 50 tweeted Friday (October 1).

“Some how they turned a simple joke about oral sex into a anti gay statement. I have nothing against people who choose and alternative life”

“Style in fact iv publicly stated my mom loved women. It funny how people think negative statements are news worthy but positive statements” (50 Cent’s Twitter)

The G-Unit head’s original tweet stirred controversy, especially amongst bloggers.

50 Cent, also known as Curtis James Jackson III, has taken his homophobic opinions, usually found on stage and screen, to cyberspace again in a recent tweet. The rapper, actor and Vitamin Water spokesman wrote: “If you a man and your over 25 and you don’t eat pu**y just kill your self damn it. The world will be a better place. Lol.” 50 Cent tweeted the anti-gay remark from his Blackberry using ÜberTwitter on Wednesday 9/29/2010 to his 3.3 million followers. (Fenuxe)
