Initial speculation from bloggers suggests the climate in Aruba may have affected 50’s coif.

50 arrived to the red carpet with a tan and a new gelled Jheri curl, S-curl mix hairdo. Not sure if it was the glistening sun, but it looks like there may have been a few light brown highlights in there too. 50 has never had a problem changing his appearance for a movie, he was seen previously rocking a Jheri curl on the set of his movie “Freelancers” starring Forest Whitaker and Robert De Niro. We are hoping that this new look is the result of a new movie because if not, you got a lot of explaining to do Fif. (Global Grind)

50 was reportedly attending the Aruba Film Festival to promote a new film.

Maybe it was the tropical breeze, but 50 Cent was not looking like himself during his trip to Aruba to premiere his Mario Van Peebles-directed drama Things Fall Apart at the Aruba Film Festival. The hip-hop mogul appeared a few pounds lighters and sported a longer gelled hairstyle. He had previously shed 54 pounds to play a cancer-stricken football player in the film. (Rap-Up)

Young Money rapper Drake recently admitted his new thick hair look was for a movie role.

Nicki Minaj then asked Drake about the beard-and-curly-hair look he’s been rocking lately, and he revealed that it was for a film role. In January, it was reported that the former “Degrassi: The Next Generation” star was joining the cast of “Arbitrage,” which is set to star Susan Sarandon and Al Pacino. However, Drake relayed that he has “decided to work on my album instead of doing that particular film.” (MTV)

50 is currently putting together a follow-up to his 2009 album, Before I Self Destruct.

“Iv been working I’m recording a lot for this album. I’m gonna keep recording cause I want to top get rich or die trying.,” he tweeted May 29th.

“You can be mad cause you have to wait but you will be happy when it comes. I want it to be perfect.” (50 Cent’s Twitter)
