G-Unit leader 50 Cent and former Murder Inc. artist Lloyd have squashed their past differences and decided to show off their bond on a new song entitled, "Let's Get It In".
Although 50 is currently crafting his own solo album, their collaboration track will be featured on Lloyd’s forthcoming post-Inc. debut.
Lloyd gets it poppin’ on his 50 Cent-assisted joint “Let’s Get It In,” the second single from the crooner’s Zone 4/Interscope Records debut King of Hearts, dropping this December. The Polow Da Don-produced track boasts a moody, electronic beat with Lloyd coaxing a girl to leave the club with him and head back to his crib for a night of intimacy. “It’s featuring someone who I always really wanted to work with,” Mr. Low Fade, Still Paid previously told Rap-Up.com of the single. “It’s very controversial. It’s gonna be awesome. It’s gonna be the sh*t.” (Rap-Up)
Last June, Lloyd talked about working with G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks for their “Any Girl” record despite their past camps’ beefs.
According to Lloyd, he would have never been able to work with an artist like Lloyd Banks, due to the ongoing feud between 50 Cent’s G-Unit and Irv Gotti‘s Murder Inc. collective of artists. “There was no hesitation on my part because we never had direct issues,” Lloyd said of his collaboration with Lloyd Banks. “We met for the first time in the studio and everything just clicked. It felt like it was our 10th song together.” (All Hip Hop)
Recently, Banks also discussed apologizing to ex-Inc. artist Ashanti.
“I had a chance to talk to Ashanti over the telephone,” Banks said in an interview. “I mean, my reasoning for apologizing, I just felt like I should. Even at the time when we were going back and forth in that feud with Murder Inc., she wasn’t speaking. She wasn’t throwing shots or anything. I think if you’re a part of the game then you should get played. At that time, she just was on the roster, so I just felt like it would be cool for me to just apologize for some of the things that were done in the past. Even though it was done in hip-hop, it wasn’t anything personal. It just felt that I should do that.” (BET)
Earlier this year, ex-Inc. super star Ja Rule explained his issues with G-Unit during their early 2000’s beef.
“I went at 50 too, I don’t think n*ggas think about that either,” Rule said in an interview earlier this summer. “I went at that n*gga hard too. 50 done had a beef with a gang of n*ggas. Even the first record he made I think was ‘How 2 Rob,’ and I was the only artist that when I seen him, I was like, ‘Eh, that ain’t funny homie. What’s happening.’ You feel what I’m saying? Everybody else that seen him, ‘Hahahahahaaa,’ silly n*ggas. Nah n*gga, ain’t no dap, n*gga. It ain’t funny. What’s happening? And I went at his head. He couldn’t f*ck with what we as doing on these streets so he went into a booth and became Superman. And that’s how that whole thing transcended and he was talking so much to the police, n*gga couldn’t really express his true feelings. He got my n*ggas facing 20 years in jail, my n*gga Supreme is doing life right now.
