1. Welcome To The Family

Is 50 Cent ready to expand his G-Unit empire? You might think so when you think about G-Unit reuniting and the recent addition of Kidd Kidd. But could 50 be going in a slightly different direction and planning on the addition of someone else? 4Music has the info:

50-cent-2015-02-20

50 Cent says he would love to sign Zayn Malik to his record label.

Chatting to The Sun, the rapper has expressed an interest in working with the 1D heartthrob if he wanted to pursue other projects: “If Zayn wants a rap career, just because of who he is, he is going to sell records, but if he wants to be credible he has to be with the right people.” (4Music)

Could this really go down? 50’s a veteran but is branching out the brand the best thing for him to do? Did things ever work out with DJ Pauly D joining G-Unit a few years ago? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Nicki’s Time

Nicki Minaj is clearly the guest feature on Rae Sremmurd‘s “Throw Sum Mo” music video and it even features Young Thug. But anyone who knows Nicki knows she dominates anything she’s in. Rap-Up has the clip:

Rae Sremmurd turns the roller skating rink into a strip club in the video for “Throw Sum Mo,” the latest single off their debut SremmLife. Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee make it rain hundreds on the floor and locker rooms, while bad bitches twerk. But it’s a blonde Nicki Minaj who steals the show in her neon green bra and pink Versace coat.

Young Thug brings the party outside for some parking lot pimpin’, with cameos from Birdman and Mike WiLL Made-It. (Rap-Up)

Is Nicki Minaj back to donning blonde hair and showing off her assets? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. The Queen Empire

Is Lil’ Kim headed to “Empire” in the near future? It looks like all of the biggest stars are going out to support the hit show and could Kim be next? The Shade Room Inc has a clip:

Any chance this will turn into Kim appearing on the series? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That about wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the morning scoop from your favorite gossip sites.

  1. Fif should have like an “SMS Audio” label so if he wants pop acts they are not branded with the G-Unit brand. Pop fans aren’t going to buy into that shxt.

      • Yeah; I’m aware of it; with Pauly D and Hot Rod? lol etc…. but my point is that he needs to separate that shxt in its entirety. Take that “G” shxt out for your pop acts. I’m sure for him it’s hard to be objective because the “G” is interwoven into everything about his branding. But in the general public’s mind, I think the G-Note is almost automatically considered the same thing as G-Unit.

        • Valid point. He also has Governor (Formerly of Grand Hustle) signed to the label. They all release success singles for soundtracks, tv shows and clubs, not typical radio songs. Lea Sunshine (From Lil Flips Sunshine Record) was also signed. But i see what your saying for sure.

  2. DJ Pauly D is the #1highest paid DJ in the world.. and hes signed to G-Note not G-Unit.. Id say it worked, he has his own SMS line and endorses SK Energy
