G-Unit leader 50 Cent's SMS Audio headphones company may reach new peaks in 2014 with NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony now joining the team.
According to a press release, Melo has become an official investor and advisor to the SMS Audio brand.
SMS Audio, LLC (www.SMSAudio.com), a premier audio headphone and accessories brand from Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, today announces that six-time NBA All-Star and NCAA Champion, Carmelo Anthony joins SMS Audio as an investor/partner and advisor. Last winter, 50 spoke on mega producer Timbaland owning a solid portion of his growing company.
“That’s exciting, that’s really exciting that Tim, you know, wanted to come and get involved with SMS. Because now, he has ownership in the company. Equity ownership and he’s involved in it and it gives him the same incentive that I have with moving forward and being successful. We’re doing big things. The “Candy Shop” hit-maker founded SMS Audio LLC in 2011 and his range of electronics has been a big hit among fans. Now, Timbaland is throwing his support behind his pal’s business venture by funneling his own cash into the firm and agreeing to serve as a member of the corporation’s board of directors.
