G-Unit leader 50 Cent has publicly reacted to Ja Rule's guilty plea for failing to file federal taxes by taunting his renowned rap rival's financial woes.
50 poked fun at Rule’s financial situation via Twitter.
“D*mn you don’t want to pay taxes fool. Take 3 more years hahaha. Oh sh*t I’m crying LMAO,” 50 tweeted Wednesday (March 23).

Details of his guilty plea circulated across the Internet Tuesday (March 22) afternoon.
Rapper Ja Rule could go to prison for three years but likely will be fined after admitting in federal court in Newark today that he ducked $1.1 million in federal income taxes on nearly $4.4 million in royalties and live performance payments over five years. U.S. Magistrate Judge Patty Shwartz allowed 35-year-old Jeffrey Atkins, who lives in the tony Bergen community of Saddle River, to remain free on $500,000 bail pending a scheduled June 13 sentencing. An attorney for Rule also confirmed yesterday’s action.
“He’s been working on addressing these issues for some time,” his attorney, Stacy Richmond, said after the hearing. “He’s taking full responsibility. He voluntarily walked in here, he wasn’t arrested.” (North Jersey News)
Last year, Ja Rule spoke on his past issues with 50 and moving onward with his career.
“Yeah, I’m starting to now see people that may have hated on me in the beginning are not rooting for me and want to see me win,” Rule explained in an interview. “That to me is big. The best part about it is I’m humbled by it all. I feel like everybody deserves a second chance to do whatever. Really, I feel that my situation was an unfair situation. A very unique, very odd situation. Nobody ever seen anything like that in hip-hop, you know? I laugh when I see people say sh*t like, ‘Yo, [50 Cent] kilt Rule, but he didn’t kill [Rick] Ross.’ No disrespect to Ross, but he did 180-something [first week sales of Teflon Don]. I went platinum with [2004’s] R.U.L.E. after I made [2003’s] Blood In My Eye. I look at sh*t like that and… I don’t know, take it how you want to take it. I was a much bigger selling artist than just platinum so I guess that’s why people felt I took a hit. But the music industry was taking a hit at that time, too. You can’t really judge it or try to make an issue out of it, or an excuse. It just is what it is.” (VIBE)
