Details of a copyright infringement lawsuit being filed against him have landed online.

A Houston woman alleges a chart-topping rapper used a photograph belonging to her without permission, recent court papers say. In a lawsuit filed Oct. 22 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas, Jennifer Stetson accuses rapper 50 Cent of committing copyright infringement with the image in question. Stetson explains she created the picture, titled “Claudia,” in early 2012 and later registered it with the U.S. Copyright Office, stating she has either published or licensed all copies in compliance with the copyright laws. Despite reaching out to the G-Unit head, the plaintiff claimed she was unsuccessful in having the image removed and would like to take the matter before a jury.

Shortly after the plaintiff obtained the copyright, the original petition says, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, “infringed the copyright by publishing and reproducing copies and/or derivatives of the copyrighted picture” on his Web site, ThisIs50.com. The complainant claims she notified 50 Cent last month that his usage was in violation of her copyright, but the defendant “continues to infringe the copyright by continuing to publish and reproduce the infringing picture in violation of the copyright, and further has engaged in unfair trade practices and unfair competition in connection with its publication and production, thus causing irreparable damage.” A jury trial is requested. No stranger to legal suits, Curtis Jackson recently had to cough up his guns in light of a domestic violence case.

50 Cent has just pled not guilty to domestic violence charges — after allegedly attacking his baby mama in her home in June — but a judge still ordered him to stay the hell away from her … and TURN IN ALL HIS GUNS. According to the protective order, 50 is also prohibited from contacting model Daphne Joy — the alleged mother of his second child — in any way. He must stay at least 100 yards away from her at all times. And this is interesting — on his way out of L.A. court Monday morning, a process server hit 50 with a stack of legal papers. The process server told us the docs were related to this case. 50 is due back in court next month. (TMZ)

These copyright infringement case come hours after footage of Fif auditioning for a role in 2007’s American Gangster flick hit the Internet.

An intrepid tipster just leaked us this video of 50 Cent auditioning for a role in American Gangster, the 2007 Denzel Washington drama about drug kingpin Frank Lucas‘ rise to power, and there is nothing about this that is not amazing in every way. 50, who prefers to go by Curtis Jackson for his more serious acting roles, had a narrow body of work when he taped this audition–mainly just his widely panned turn in Terence WintersGet Rich Or Die Tryin’–but that doesn’t seem to have stopped him from putting himself up for the role of one of Lucas’ brothers, a lieutenant in his drug army.
