G-Unit leader 50 Cent can start breathing easier as new reports claim a woman accusing him of being the father of her child did not list the rap star on a birth certificate.
While Fif could still be the father, his name is absent from model Daphne Joy‘s child’s birth certificate.
50 Cent didn’t father a child with ex-GF Daphne Joy — the woman he allegedly attacked during a domestic violence incident last month — at least according to the child’s birth certificate … but the document doesn’t rule out 50 either. Not even close. TMZ obtained the certificate — which shows Daphne is the mom — but it doesn’t list a father. The daddy field is blank, which means one of two things … A) Daphne didn’t know who the dad was, or B) she didn’t want to say. (TMZ)
Even with this pereceived break, reports suggest Fif is still likely the father.
But all clues still point to 50 being the dad — namely, the child’s last name is listed as Jackson … as in Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent. As we reported, neither 50 nor Daphne have ever acknowledged the child is his … but the L.A. City Attorney’s Office kinda let the cat out of the bag when it announced the domestic violence charges against 50, saying he and Daphne had a “child in common.” FYI, 50 Cent does have another child, officially on the books, with another ex-GF named Shaniqua Tompkins. Fif’s current legal problems have reportedly cost him a performance at Major League Baseball’s All-Star activities this month.
The “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” recording artist was lined-up to perform at the Roseland Ballroom on July 14 along with record producer and DJ Kaskade. But the event’s updated Facebook page has removed his name from the bill and in its place, “surprise performances” will instead take place. (Ace Showbiz)
Joy had an attorney formally speak out on the domestic violence accusations earlier this month.
Daphne Joy, who was born in the Philippines, has a baby by the rapper and is now focusing on safety for the child and herself, said Jim Yeager, a spokesman for the Los Angeles law firm of Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, which is representing her. The alleged victim, whose name wasn’t earlier disclosed by authorities, released her name Friday through Yeager. “Daphne Joy and Curtis Jackson have been together for a few years in an exclusive relationship,” said a statement by the law firm. “They had a child and now Daphne’s number one priority is to ensure both her and the baby’s safety during this difficult time. We also hope everyone will respect her and the baby’s privacy.” (CNN)
