As for women I can be an ally to their struggle without co-opting it or leading the charge. I’m in support of Black women because I love them and they, throughout my life, have loved me. So of course I will take issue with 50 attacking them by racist and degrading terminology. My family is from St.Lucia and Guyana and I was born in Brooklyn, NY. I never understood why black women are always targeted for being angry. Don’t all women get upset or have an opinion? And if a black woman speaks on something she doesn’t feel is right why does she automatically have to be upset about something else. Life is full of experiences and some of those experiences aren’t good and they shape people into who they are that is why I am grateful for all the stages in my life because it’s made me who I am today. Everybody doesn’t grow at the same time and it would be nice to encourage, explain and build people up instead of judging them when you don’t know what life experience they have gone through to be a particular way.
