According to reports, Fif teamed up with a few businesses to provide food yesterday (November 21).

On Wednesday (November 21), Fif partnered with Feeding America, the Food Network and SMS Audio to provide Thanksgiving meals for hungry New Yorkers and victims of Hurricane Sandy at the “Our Table Is Yours” event at Cipriani Restaurant in downtown Manhattan, New York. (MTV)

The G-Unit head also discussed the importance of helping his local New Yorkers.

“I’m able to provide meals for victims of Sandy or other people in New York City that don’t actually have food,” 50 Told MTV News. The multiplatinum rap star also uses proceeds of sales from his SK Energy Drink and SMS headphones to provide meals for those in need. “[Hunger,] it’s a world issue, it’s not a third-world issue,” he explained before dishing out some pretty eye-opening facts. “One in six Americans are actually going hungry. You got kids that’s surviving based on their school lunch and more than one out of five kids are experiencing hunger.” (MTV)

The rapper’s one-time music rival Birdman and other Cash Money pals got into the holiday spirit down in Louisiana.

Lil Wayne‘s mentor Birdman and his Cash Money co-founder Ronald “Slim” Williams really got into the holiday spirit today in New Orleans — handing out special Turkey Day care packages to people in need … and TMZ has the pics. Bryan “Birdman” Williams, Slim, and a bunch of other dudes from Cash Money Records dropped by A.L. Davis Park for the charity drive, distributing turkeys and other Thanksgiving Day essentials (like AriZona Iced Tea). We’re told Lil Wayne had planned to attend as well — but was advised not to travel in his current health condition. (TMZ)

Earlier this week, New York Football Giants star wide receiver Victor Cruz helped serve food to his local hometown crowd.

On Tuesday, November 20, 2012 Campbell’s Chunky soup and Victor Cruz, the face of the brand’s “Mama’s Boy” ad campaign, will visit Eva’s Village in Cruz’s hometown of Paterson, NJ, to donate more than 5,000 cans of Campbell’s Chunky soup to those in need during the holiday season. With Thanksgiving around the corner, the New York Giants wide receiver wanted to make a special donation to his hometown and thank members of the Paterson community for their support over the years.
