G-Unit head 50 Cent recently discussed his growing SMS Audio headphones line and why key investors like Timbaland and Carmelo Anthony are key examples of its growth.
Fif noted how much value a business partner like Timbaland brings to his line based on his background as a Grammy award-winning producer.
“He actually helps create the signature sound for SMS Audio,” Fif said referring to Timbaland. “It’s exciting to have the collaborations because these guys have a strong passion for music. Carmelo, most professional athletes have a passion for it because it’s a lot of physical discipline involved, we can take it down to the basics the way we would actually utilize it on the treadmill or just keeping ourselves health.” (Fox Business)
Curtis Jackson also spoke on keeping his presence alive and alongside SMS Audio via social media.
“Now everybody sees everything differently. Your viral activity and social networking visibility is important. I do that,” Fif said about reminding fans of his direct association to SMS Audio. “Monster [Beats] is a big actual company and then because we come in and the competitive nature of hip-hop puts us in a competition. So it immediately makes people aware of SMS Audio.” (Fox Business)
Recently, Fif issued a statement to confirm Anthony’s SMS Audio arrival.

Last winter, 50 spoke on Timbaland owning a solid portion of his growing company.
“That’s exciting, that’s really exciting that Tim, you know, wanted to come and get involved with SMS. Because now, he has ownership in the company. Equity ownership and he’s involved in it and it gives him the same incentive that I have with moving forward and being successful. We’re doing big things. We’ve got the CES [Consumer Electronics Show] convention coming up. We’re doing good, man.” (Whoolywood Shuffle)
