According to Fif, the “Talk of New York” and “Punchline King” are both still with the Unit.

“G-Note is a 2nd level label under G-Unit Records where we focus more so on the Pop side where as G-Unit is more so urban. Pauly D is on G-Note, Tony Yayo, Kidd Kidd, Lloyd Banks and Precious Paris are all on G-Unit. There are big things coming for both labels in 2014!” (G-Unit Family)

The G-Unit head also suggested Yayo and Banks were focused on building flourishing solo careers.

“When I got on and created the G-Unit brand I always wanted Banks and Yayo to create bigger opportunities for them, build their own teams as far as management, PR, etc and extend the brand as well as generating more outlets for themselves as men. I guess now they understand, so Banks and Yayo are doing it.” (G-Unit Family)

A few months ago, Fif said the same level of urgency was not existent between himself and the original members.

“I hope that they can actually figure out, from that, like when we say they haven’t quite followed my blueprint, it’s disappointing that they’re not following. You feel what I’m saying? To be that close in the circle, it’s almost like, I’m going to be honest with you, it feels like there’s something missing from the actual character. Just people, in general, as people, I think there’s something missing. Something in my character that’s not in their character because I almost ‘have’ to do it. Financially I don’t have to, but I have to because it’s just within me. I gotta be a part of it, I gotta be working, I gotta have something going on, something that I’m doing. They’ve had opportunities to make the transitions that a lot of artists don’t because they can behind the scenes without everyone paying attention to them.” (Hot 97)

Last year, G-Unit’s DJ Whoo Kid talked about trying to reunite 50 and Lloyd.

“I mean I don’t even know man, I tried to like talk to them. Fif says he hasn’t heard from him, I don’t know man. They’re supposed to be cool, I don’t think there are any major problems. From what I know, they’re cool. They were all at Chris Lighty‘s funeral. You will hear it from him (50). He will give you the view points on Banks and the whole situation with the Unit. But from what I know, they’re cool. But 50 will let you know and explains the situation better.” (HHNM)
