[With a highly-anticipated Park West, Chicago, Illinois show going down tonight (March 25) with rap veterans MC Eiht, Freeway and AZ, here’s five must-perform songs they gotta perform! Peep ’em below!]
MC Eiht – Streiht Up Menace

When you think of MC Eiht, you cannot omit this West Coast classic. This song is undoubtedly Eiht’s signature song and serves as the quintessential example of his sound and style. Plus, it also reminds of his pinnacle role in Menace II Society – another urban classic from the 90s
AZ – Sugar Hill

This song has a chill and smooth vibe and has that East Coast sound that true hip-hop fans live for. Every DJ has this song in their repertoire and you absolutely cannot talk about the Golden Era of hip-hop without putting this song on the list. Plus, this song was produced by Dr. Dre, so you know it has the flavor West Coast heads will like too.
Freeway – What We Do
This song was the debut song off the debut album that really put Freeway on the map. This was his, “look muthafuckas I’m here,” song. This song is still a club banger and with a verse from HOVA and Beanie S and a dope beat by Just Blaze, you can’t go wrong.
AZ – Mo Money, Mo Homicide
What’s great about this song is that the flow of it is simple, yet the cadence is infectious. It’s that song you put on and zone out to and relax…yet the content of the song isn’t all that relaxing which makes it ironic yet brilliant.
Freeway – Flipside
This song is by far one of Freeway’s most successful songs that solidified the sheer talent this Philadelphia native possess as an MC not just lyrical, but as one who can commence a crowd to have fun.
