Will Smith Jaw Drops Over Miley Cyrus, Drake’s Possibly Smashing Country Star, Decoded Last Night’s “Breaking Bad” Thriller?
Managing Monday. It’s a full day of managing things out so why not start it off with Will Smith and his family’s jaw-dropping reaction to Miley Cyrus‘ Video Music Awards performance? Speaking of the VMAs, did anyone else feel uncomfortable about Taylor Swift and Drake hugging it out? Something’s cooking and it happens to be the craziness going down on “Breaking Bad.” All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Oh Miley
If there was one performer that caught everyone’s attention at last night’s Video Music Awards, and not for a good reason, it has to be Miley Cyrus. All of the twerking in the world could not save what she brought to the table and just taking a look at the crowd’s reaction tells you what went down. No better celebrity family than the Smith’s could deliver a speechless reaction to top theirs. Just Jared has the inside:
Will Smith and his kids Willow and Jaden have the most priceless reaction while watching Miley Cyrus perform at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Barclays Center on Sunday (August 25) in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The 44-year-old actor was captured by the audience cam (via Buzzfeed) while watching Miley strip down for her performance of her song “We Can’t Stop” and her duet of “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke.
Will was also seen hitting the red carpet earlier in the evening. Check out the pics below!
WHAT DO YOU THINK of Will Smith and his kids’ reactions? (Just Jared)
Was that pretty priceless or what? As much as you want to root for Miley Cyrus, last night was a tough evening for her. Can she make a bounce-back by coming through for the BET Hip Hop Awards? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
2. Hug It Out
Did anyone see Taylor Swift and Drake hugging it out coming during the VMAs last night? It wasn’t as awkward as Miley Cyrus’ on-stage antics, but it made for very interesting Internet chatter. Is it even worth putting out the dating rumors or is this just an emo moment? Perez Hilton has the shot:
Taylor Swift and Drake are holding on tight and they are NOT letting go!
Aw! This was the cutest collaboration that we saw at the VMAs all night!
We can’t help but wonder though, when TayTay threw her arms around Drake and gave him a squeeze, he was thinking to himself “_______________________!” (Perez Hilton)
Is there any chance this is going to be Drake’s new boo? They don’t necessarily make a really cute couple, but coming from such opposite worlds, it would be nice to see Drake and Taylor have a little fling together. #SOHHWhatchaThink?
3. Breaking Time
It’s week three now and there’s no holding back with Breaking Bad. Until today, there really has been no mention of the show via SOHH Whatcha Think but considering how insane Sunday night’s episode was, there’s too many things to consider and analyze. MTV has some key things to point out:
The End of Hank?
You thought Walter was going to confess on camera, didn’t you? In what has to be considered one of the best “Breaking Bad” twists ever, Walter used his would-be taped confession — another reference to the pilot, by the way — as a platform through which to blackmail his brother-in-law to not proceed with the investigation. The revelation that Marie accepted cash from Walt and Skylar to fund Hank’s rehab was “the nail in the coffin” for Hank Schrader, and the only person who could possibly save his crusader to bring Heisenberg to justice just flew off the rails.
Jesse Versus Walter
That’s right. Jesse Pinkman. Though he wouldn’t cooperate with Hank in the interrogation room, something tells us that he might be a little more willing to testify, but that doesn’t appear to be the route Jesse is taking right now. By the end of the episode, it was pretty clear that he has decided on the “Let’s burn down the White family house” solution.
The mystery of Brock’s poisoning was one of several hanging threats to Walt’s safety, and there may not be a worse one to fall squarely on top of him. There is no winning Jesse back now, no matter how much Walt “works” him. Heisenberg’s most despicable act is now out in the open for the one person who was hurt the most — besides Brock, of course.
We know from the flash forwards that Jesse doesn’t succeed in burning down Walt’s house, but that doesn’t eliminate the possibility that he’s the one who metaphorically reduces the home to ashes. Walt Jr. made it pretty clear that he had no intentions of leaving home. If he’s in the house when Jesse bursts in, you can bet that Mr. Pinkman would have no qualms about outing his dad as a poisoner of children.
Todd and Friends
Yeah, they’re definitely up to no good. Todd, his uncle Jack, and their buddy now stand as a potential threat to pretty much everyone. They demonstrated their capacity for Old West-style violence in last week’s episode, and now they’re getting ready to jump back into the meth business. Todd called Walter to give him the heads-up that things didn’t go well with Declan, but there may have been another reason behind the call. Walter is still the best cook in the region, and now the pressure is squarely on Todd to deliver. Does Todd doubt his own cooking abilities? Will he turn to Walter out of desperation?
These guys are very much a part of where things are headed. We’ve just yet to see how they fit in, but it’s a safe bet to wager that it won’t be pleasant. (MTV)
Is there any better television show out? From the writing to the acting to the fact creator Vince Gilligan actually made New Mexico kinda cool in the way David Chase had everyone love New Jersey with “The Sopranos,” there’s no denying how great “Breaking Bad” has been these past five years. There’s so many questions and each episode has answered a few. What’s next? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
