LeBron James’ Game Day Rap Anthem, Heat Player Robbed, Beyoncé Stunts On Kim K?
Tidy Tuesday. It’s a day to keep things in order, so why not get it started with LeBron James letting us see what he’s been listening to as of late? Speaking of LBJ, it seems like one of his teammates was robbed in their own backyard. If that didn’t stun you, then Beyoncé having the edge over Kim Kardashian should. All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Run That Beat Back
In his quest to win a third consecutive ring, LeBron James needs to have the right music playing to get his game face set. It looks like LBJ has found something in Que’s “O.G. Bobby Johnson” record. Complex is on it:
Next time LeBron James steps onto the hardwood at American Airlines Arena in South Florida, he’ll be pumped up and ready to rock his opponent thanks to Que’s “O.G. Bobby Johnson.” As seen in the Instragram clip above, the Miami Heat forward plays Que’s record in his whip and he gets pretty hyped about it. “My new theme song on gameday!” the caption reads. Que is an emerging rapper out of Atlanta who puts an emphasis on street lyricism and delivers it with a raspy growl that’s magnetic. This co-sign can only be a positive mark in his blossoming career. (Complex)
How big will this co-sign go to making Que receive even more attention? Could LeBron help spark the interest of big labels and maybe even get Que some huge collaborations? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
2. Heated Situation
Are NBA players being targeted these days? After Chris Bosh had his home vandalized and robbed earlier this year, it seems Miami Heat player Roger Mason Jr. felt the same wrath following a dinner with his sister. NBC Miami has the coverage:
Miami Heat player Roger Mason Jr. and his sister were robbed at a Biscayne Boulevard restaurant Sunday night, but police said they recovered the NBA guard’s Rolex after a chase ended with the arrest of two suspects on Monday.
Mason and his sister (whose purse was stolen) were two of several victims of the armed robbery at Ni.Do. Caffe, an Italian mozzarella bar at 7295 Biscayne Blvd., Miami Police spokeswoman Frederica Burden said.
Shots were fired either inside or outside the restaurant but no one was hit, and the four suspects fled the scene, Burden said.
Police were on the lookout for a black or blue Escalade, and on Monday police received a tip that the car was at a hotel at Northeast 7th Avenue and 35th Street. Investigators found the Escalade there and kept an eye on it, and at about 4:30 p.m. two suspects got into the car at the hotel and police attempted to stop it, Burden said. (NBC Miami)
Is there any chance this was a set-up? What’s going on with celebrities getting robbed? Even 2 Chainz had his incident in California this year. Is Miami really out there robbing and stealing? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
3. Move Over
Should Kim Kardashian be mad at Beyoncé? Probably not, but when you’re looking at being considered second best in every regard to Jay Z and Beyoncé, it’s gotta be hard. Turns out Bey was one of the most searched celebrities this year and Kim K trailed behind. Style Blazer is on it:
Bow down to Queen Bey–oh wait, everyone already is. At least, according to the latest research from Bing. The search engine’s rankings of the most-searched celebrities of 2013 (in the United States) showed Beyoncé in the number 1 spot, followed by Mrs. Yeezus herself: Kim Kardashian.
Whether it was paparazzi shots of Blue Ivy, her earth-shattering pixie cut, or just her gift for being generally amazing at all times that caused fans to type her names into keyboards over and over again, we may never know. Nor do we know the distance between the number of searches that separated Bey and Kim K–come one Bing, hand us a bone, will you?
In any case, it’s safe to say that search-engine wise, 2013 belonged to the ladies. Only two men made the list: Justin Beiber and President Barack Obama–neither one in the top 5. Other names on the list include Miley Cyrus (who was randomly the top searched person in Australia), Amanda Bynes (hope you’re getting better girl), Madonna (seriously? still?), and Riri (duh). (Style Blazer)
When you think about how big of a year Kim K had with the baby and engagement, it’s hard to imagine Bey receiving more searches than her. Any chance there should be a recount? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
