Katt Williams Punches Manager’s Lights Out, Kanye West Spits Teenage Raps, Lindsay Lohan’s Bikini Selfie?

Finally Friday. It’s finally the best day of the week, so what better way to celebrate than to throw it in the air like Katt Williams throwing punches at his manager’s face? Ouch. Speaking of throwing things up, did a new Kanye West throwback clip of him rapping as a teenager get thrown into the blogosphere? We should probably all simmer down like Lindsay Lohan in a bikini selfie? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

[Editor's Note: The views expressed in this column do not necessarily reflect those of SOHH]

1. Throw It Up

How can Katt Williams be making so much news right now? It seems he comes out once a year and when he does, it’s craziness left and right. Almost every day something is going on with him. TMZ has the skinny:

Katt Williams’ tour manager says the the comedian delivered a knockout blow to his face … and now he’s suing for assault and battery.

Mark Williams claims Katt went off on him back in May, according to a new lawsuit filed in L.A. … and obtained by TMZ.

Williams — who doesn’t mention any relation to Katt — claims Katt hit him “with such force and power that he was rendered unconscious for a period of 90 seconds.”

The lawsuit doesn’t say where or why the alleged scrap went down, but it must have hurt like hell because Williams adds … Katt was “wearing his diamond rings which served as a brass knuckles weapon.”

Williams claims he suffered a concussion, loose tooth, and unspecified facial and head injuries. (TMZ)

Isn’t it hard to believe Katt Williams is that strong? 90 seconds? No offense, but isn’t Katt Williams a little guy? He’s not exactly Floyd Mayweather, Jr. either. Could this be legit? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Throwback

Was Kanye West always a dope rapper? Even during his teenage years? We didn’t really hear him until he started piecing together his debut album but could he have been sitting on raps forever? Rolling Stone has the clip:

The Chicago-bred rapper got one such opportunity at the opening of Fat Beats, a since-closed New York City record store that served as the epicenter of indie hip-hop around the turn of the century. On one fateful August day in 1996, the store’s general manager, DJ Eclipse, captured video of West taking the mic in the store at age 19 that he recently shared with Complex.

For 90 seconds, the rapper talks about his technique, Alanis Morissette, living in Chicago and how he’s from the future cribbing his grandchildren’s style, among other topics. (Rolling Stone)

Throwback Ye? Do you like this Kanye better than the modern West? Is this just proof Kanye has always had lyrical talent? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Beach Bum

There’s nothing wrong with women wearing bikinis and even though Lindsay Lohan is on-again, off-again cool in the hip-hop world, she gets a huge pass today with her new bikini photo. RumorFix has the shot:

Lookin’ good, Lindsay!

The starlet took to her Instagram on Thursday to post a sexy summer swimsuit selfie, and LiLo is looking fit and fab.

In the flick you can see Linds crouched over in front of a mirror so everyone can see her ample cleavage.

In past months we’ve seen Lohan working out at the gym with trainers–and clearly it’s paying off.
Keep up the good work, hun! (RumorFix)

If this doesn’t make you want to hit the closest beach, pool or even shower this weekend, what will? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That about wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the morning scoop from your favorite gossip sites.

Drake Fires Shots At Macklemore, Joseline Bites Man Flesh, Dr. Dre Schools Compton?

Thriller Thursday. It’s a thrilling day today, so why not get it all started with Drake firing a shot at Macklemore? Speaking of tensions flaring, did Joseline really bite a man’s flesh during an Atlanta brawl? In happier gossip, Dr. Dre is more than a Beats Electronics god and one teacher is letting his students know it? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. It Had To Happen

Drake killed it at last night’s ESPN ESPY’s. There’s a lot of people who want to hate on him and make it out as if he would not be a great host, but for the sake of hip-hop, he really represented nicely. Complex has a moment Drake went off on Macklemore:

Drake has taken over the hosting duties for the 2014 ESPYs, bringing his improvisation, acting and music skills to the table. He flexed all three during the show, and capped it off with with two hilarious performances. The spoofs, which include the Macklemore roasting “Honorable Mention” and Drake dressed like a new age Billy Ocean serenading the crowd. Meanwhile, the crowd absolutely lost it when Drake said “Real music doesn’t always win Grammys but it’s OK” as a picture of Macklemore appeared on screen. (Complex)

Ouch? All things considered, Macklemore is living the life and Grammy or not, he makes some pretty legit music. Any reason we should expect Mack to fire back? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Fighter & A Biter

What’s going down in Atlanta? It looks like something went down this week during a brawl and for the first time, it may have not been part of some staged moment. Could Joseline Hernandez have put herself in a position to get fired? TMZ has the info:

Smack talk about crack triggered the all-out brawl on the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” set … ending with a security guard getting a piece of flesh ripped off his body… and they say Joseline Hernandez is the culprit and they want her FIRED.

Cast and crew who were present during the melee tell TMZ … Tuesday night’s fight started when Benzino called Stevie J a crackhead. Stevie J then charged Benzino, yelling “f*** you.”

Stevie J’s GF Joseline then amped things up by attacking Benzino’s wife Althea, punching her in the face so hard everyone around heard a crack. Joseline then pulled out part of Althea’s weave.

But Joseline’s handiwork wasn’t done … Joseline then made a beeline for Waka Flocka Flame’s wife, Tami — yanking out Tami’s pony tail weave. Waka’s mom Debra jumped in, punching Joseline in the head and ripping out her extensions.

Security then booted Joseline from the set. On her way out she passed shower-rod queen Mimi Faust in the stairway … elbowing her in the back and shoving her down the stairs. (TMZ)

There’s a lot more information there for you to peep. Is this Atlanta show getting too much for television? It was funny at first but are people’s lives really being exposed and damaged? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Compton

Dr. Dre is a music god but could he really be a strong influence for students to aspire to? Is he worthy of being examined in classrooms and even in textbooks around the world? Los Angeles Times has a teaser:

Every fall, economics teacher Louis Stewart puts aside the textbooks and gives his students at Centennial High School in Compton a lesson in Dr. Dre 101.

He pulls out the Forbes magazine list of America’s richest celebrities and points to Dr. Dre, who is usually high on the list. Most of his students assume the only way a Compton native could have become so wealthy is through professional sports, Stewart says, “because that’s all they know.”

Stewart explains Dre’s rise from the streets of Compton to rapper to music producer to co-founder of Beats Electronics, the high-end, bass-heavy headphone and speaker company.

With Apple Inc.’s recent purchase of Beats for $3 billion, Dre (real name: Andre Young) is now being hailed around town as Compton’s first billionaire and an even more powerful role model in a community where opportunities for young people often seem few and far between. (Los Angeles Times)

It’s a great read if you have the time. Seeing how a teacher relies on Dre’s succcess to school students on being great without having to do sports. Great motivation? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
