KimYe’s Million Dollar Investments, Kardashian Family Member Not Invited To Proposal, Kendrick Lamar Throws Em Up?
Thriving Thursday. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be thriving as we make way to Friday, so let’s get things started with Kim Kardashian stunting with an $8 million engagement ring? Someone that might have to wait to get an up-close look at the ring is Bruce Jenner. Speaking of looking at things, Kendrick Lamar‘s giving everyone some memorable shots? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Money In The Bank
You can’t always put a price tag on love but that doesn’t seem to apply to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. In their case, it looks like money might really buy happiness, especially when you bust out the calculator and find out just how much they’re putting into this upcoming marriage. New York Daily News is on it:
Maybe the third time’s the charm.
Kim Kardashian will walk down the aisle yet again, thanks to a giant diamond valued by one expert at $8 million and Kanye West’s Jumbrotron proposal Monday night at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.
But if history is any lesson, she might not wear that bling for long. Online bookmaker Paddy Power puts the odds on Kimye’s marriage lasting less than two years at 2-1. That might be due to the fact her first marriage, to record producer Damon Thomas, lasted four years, and her second, to former Brooklyn Net Kris Humphries, wrapped up in a mere 72 days. Madison Avenue’s so-called Duke of Divorce likens the power couple’s union to the merging of two companies. Drawing up their prenup could take weeks and rack up $100,000 in legal fees. Unlike Kardashian’s last marriage, she’s not the breadwinner this time. She’s worth $40 million to Kanye’s $100 million. That means it’s the groom who must cover his assets. Robert S. Cohen, who represented Christie Brinkley and Ivana Trump in their divorces, says they shouldn’t be financially bound to each other if the Wests go south. “They should be able to walk away without any obligation to the other, except to the extent that they do projects together, and then the prenup should deal with splitting that 50/50,” he says. (New York Daily News)
Is any marriage safe these days? Hopefully things will pan out for Kim and Kanye and they’ll never have to worry about paying each other off or going through any nasty legal battles. They seem right for one another. #SOHHWhatchaThink?
2. Go Daddy
Is Bruce Jenner the new evil dad in Hollywood next to Lindsay Lohan‘s? It might be the case. Things are looking like Bruce wasn’t even invited to go and see KimYe tie the knot. Now in the past, it seems like he’s said some dicey things about the whole KimYe relationship, but time heals all wounds, no? TMZ is on it:
Bruce Jenner was NOT invited to AT&T Park when Kanye West popped the question to Kim Kardashian … in fact, he had no idea his step-daughter was getting engaged until AFTER the fact — TMZ has learned.
Family sources tell us … Bruce and Kanye have never had a “real conversation.” As we previously reported, Bruce was not happy when Kim hooked up with Kanye so quickly after she left Kris Humphries.
We’re told Kanye is the one who planned every detail of the surprise proposal. We do not know exactly why Bruce was not invited — whether it was because of Kanye or because of Bruce’s separation from Kris.
We do know … Bruce didn’t even know Kanye was popping the question until he got a call from Kim immediately after she got engaged. We’re told Bruce was Kim’s first call, because Kim considers him to be her father. (TMZ)
Ouch? At least it looks like Kim wants him to have some part in her life. Is there any chance Bruce will be able to attend the wedding? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
3. There Can Be Only One King
Is Kendrick Lamar destined for fame? You’d have to say he’s well past fame especially when artists already consider him one of the best of all time. It’s no question that he would make for a great snapshot through the lens of renowned photographer Terry Richardson. Complex is up on it:
In this photo shoot for Document magazine, Terry Richardson works with Kendrick Lamar to capture shots that are full of attitude. I lot of Richardson’s studio shoots are happy and playful, but Kendrick looks very serious in his close-up portraits and profile shots. It’s all hoodies and sweatshirts (with a velvety purple robe thrown in just because) and the Compton native doesn’t shy away from repping his coast. According to Richardson, the issue is out now so go get that. (Complex)
Does Terry create the best shots or what? He’s put some of hip-hop and pop culture’s biggest stars on the mainstream spotlight thanks to his photographs, and it looks like Kendrick is only going to add onto that legacy. #SOHHWhatchaThink?
