Kanye West to Martin Luther King Jr.
1. Kanye West to Bu Thiam

Kanye West is a music mogul that’s taken over much more than hip-hop. The Chi-Town MC has conquered the rap world, and crossed over to pop when he appeared on Katy Perry’s 2011 single, “E.T.” He’s gone from underground rapper to music legend, but he couldn’t have done it without the help of Def Jam’s VP of A&R, Bu Thiam, who also happens to be Akon’s younger brother.

Bu Thiam may be Akon’s younger brother, but he’s A&R’d some music most monumental albums including Rihanna’s Loud EP and Kanye West and Jay-Z’s collaboration album, Watch The Throne. Thiam is also responsible for signing Atlanta auto-tune sensation, T-Pain.
