Jeezy’s Protégé Gets In Trouble, Uncut 2Pac Interview Surfaces, Kanye West Throws A Live Fit?

Well Wednesday. It’s all about feeling good today, so why not get things started with Jeezy’s artist going from good to bad out in Detroit? Going a bit further West, it turns out there is an uncut 2Pac interview that has received the animated treatment. Someone who could use a little treatment is Kanye West after storming off his own stage? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Man Down

What’s going on with Jeezy right now? It seems like he’s having his own issues at Def Jam but also enjoying a new situation at Roc Nation. It might do him some good to keep an eye out on his artists, especially when people’s lives are in danger? Detroit’s CBS Local is on it:

Detroit police are working to prevent any further violence after a fight between rappers at Cobo Center.

“We’re doing the best we can to save some lives here,” said Detroit police Sgt. Michael Woody.

Among those involved in the feud are west-side rapper HBK, of Young Jeezy’s newly signed group Doughboyz Cashout, and lesser-known east-side rappers Icewear Vezzo and Green Guy Webbie.

Woody said it all started Wednesday night.

“The fight took place between two rappers. During the fight, one of the rapper’s gold chain necklace was stolen,” Woody said.

Website Motor City Muckraker is reporting that Icewear and Green Guy can be clearly seen in a viral video continuing to assault HBK while he’s knocked out.

Posting online on Thanksgiving Day, both rappers took credit for the attack, but later backed off after they were bombarded with death threats on Twitter and Instagram.

Since then, Woody said, there has been a social media storm of friends and associates of the two who are threatening retaliation.

“I don’t know when the last recorded threat was on social media,” Woody said. (CBS Local)

If you’re online giving out threats, isn’t that snitching on yourself? Either way, why isn’t HBK focused on his music career instead of petty fights? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Until The End Of Time

One thing that’s for certain is Tupac will iive forever from the music and interviews he has left over the past 20 years. It looks like someone decided to keep his memory alive even more after turning a ’94 interview into a full-fledged animation clip. 2 Dope Boyz is on it:

In 1994, Tupac Shakur sat down with Entertainment Weekly’s Benjamin Svetkey and shared his uncut feelings on life, death, success, trouble with the law and the media. Looking to bring his passionate words to life, PBS Digital Studios’ set the audio recording to animated drawings in their latest Blank On Blank segment. “If I was white I would have been like John Wayne. Somebody who pulled himself up from their bootstraps. From poverty. From welfare. Now I am kissing Janet Jackson. I’m doing movies. I feel like a tragic hero in a Shakespeare play, you know what I’m saying?” (2 Dope Boyz)

Even in ’94, Pac was about that Thug Life. What an interesting way to get this interview. The audio isn’t the best but with the animation sketches, it really helps make it pretty entertaining and informative. #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Perfection

Kanye West is most known for being a perfectionist. He seems like the type that needs everything in order to function correctly and that was true when he performed in Florida last weekend. RumorFix has the scoop:

Being a daddy hasn’t softened Kanye West — nor has it taught him patience.
The rapper threw a hissy fit on Saturday at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and RumorFix has the video!
At one point, Kim Kardashian’s fiance says, “Stop it — What happened with the lights? Whatcha y’all doing?”
He then storms off stage. A few moments later, he gets on the mike and says, “Somebody come talk to me and tell me why they’re f***ing up the show in Tampa.”
Most of the 7,500 fans in the crowd seemed amused by his antics. The concert came to a halt for just over a minute — then the entertainer got ready to resume his performance, but the lighting folks jumped the gun, setting him off again!
“Turn them off,” Kanye yelled, “Turn all of them off. Turn both lights off now!” (RumorFix)

The good news is that Kanye West did come back out and finished his concert. Can you hate on Kanye for wanting things to be just how he likes them? If you’re paying hard-earned money to see him, can you at least respect him trying to make sure you get your money’s worth? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
