Jay Z & Dame Dash’s Inside Reunion Details, Rihanna Dips Into A Barbados Bikini, Another Ex-Bad Boy Finds Religion?
Fast Lane Friday. We’re living life in the fast lane today so why not start things off with Jay Z and Dame Dash reuniting in New York City? Someone well far away from the Empire State is Rihanna, dipped into a must-see bikini in the Barbados. If she ever feels guilty, RiRi can just call up a new former Bad Boy Records rapper to help her find God? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Reunited & It Feels So Hood
There’s probably no one who could have expected a Jay Z and Dame Dash reunion to go down ever, or at least this soon. Just shortly after Dash said something nice about Jay and Hov said something nice back about Dame, they both somehow end up taking photos together like the good ol’ days. But how’d it all happen? VIBE has the skinny:
The whole Internet has been chattering about the reunion of former Roc-A-Fella partners Jay Z and Dame Dash, who’d been estranged for years after their business relationship and friendship disintegrated. For hip-hop heads, finally seeing them together was shocking, to say the least.
According to sources who attended the birthday party for Chaka Pilgrim (a long time Roc-A-Fella Records employee, now Roc Nation executive) in Brooklyn, the atmosphere was jovial yet unsteady, until the Roc-A-Fella Records founders finally spoke to one another.
There didn’t seem to be a clear cut “this person approached this person” introduction, but rather the happenstance that the two once best friends ended up in each other’s space.
The handshake was offered by Dame (which can be seen in various pictures floating on Instagram and Twitter), and the laughs ensued. What was actually said to one other is also not clear, but judging from the pics, a few jokes were exchanged. Some of the most poignant moments captured were interchangeable shots of Dame and Jay with Beyonce, Kyambo “Hip-Hop” Joshua (Former Roc-A-Fella A&R), Roc Nation artist J. Cole and a year-book style group shot of the original Roc-A-Fella staff.
One anonymous attendee stated, “The scene was good for everyone there. Once Jay and Dame interacted, things seemed to smooth out. It was good to see them speaking.” (VIBE)
Could all of this just been a coincidence or the master planning of a true publicist and marketing team? Jay does have plenty of political connects and could have just left the event if he really didn’t want to see Dame. Was this all planned or really spontaneous? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
2. What Else Is New?
Rihanna wearing anything other than a bikini should send scares throughout all of the media. Over these past few years, she’s been living the life of someone truly in the fast lane and some new photos of her in Barbados are all the proof anyone would need. Rap-Up has the shots:
Rihanna is enjoying some fun in the sun. Following the Crop Over festivities earlier in the week, the island gal spent the day on the beach in her native Barbados with her BFF Melissa Forde. The “Stay” singer flaunted her hot body in a bikini while posing for some racy pics in an inner tube.
“Brought sand to da beach!” tweeted RiRi. “My beach is betta!!!”
She also quoted lyrics from Drake’s new single “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” calling it her “new fave record, period.” (Rap-Up)
Rihanna really is living it up. Is there any reason why she should have tried to keep things going with Chris Brown? She might hate the single life, but it sure leaves hope for all of the single men in the world. #SOHHWhatchaThink?
3. Kickin’ Mad Religion In Ya Ears
Is Craig Mack the new Ma$e, Loon and Shyne? It would appear so courtesy of some past footage now surfacing online. It seems like the curse of Bad Boy Records is the former artists tend to find peace with a higher power. Christian Post is all over this:
Craig Mack, formerly signed to Sean “Diddy” Comb’s Bad Boy Records, has been worshipping at a South Carolina commune with conservative Pentecostal Christians, according to a recently surfaced video in which the Grammy-nominated recording artist and New Jersey native exuberantly shares his testimony.
The YouTube video, which has left some fans speechless, comes after speculation that Mack has been living a quiet life in Walterboro, S.C., at the Overcomer Ministry commune since leaving behind his celebrity lifestyle.
The video was published on YouTube in May 2012 by a user named “tlink1463,” but surfaced this week after being highlighted on music blogs and entertainment news sites. User “tlink1463″ claims in the comments section of the video page that he recorded the church service featuring Mack himself. He was also asked by a viewer in January of this year if Mack was still attending “these services,” to which “tlink1463″ replied: “Still here and going (strong).”
In the video, controversial Pastor Ralph Gordon Stair, otherwise known as Brother R.G. Stair and “the prophet,” comments on speculation surrounding the whereabouts of the former Bad Boy rapper.
“Craig Mack, you know, when he first came around, he didn’t want anybody to know where he was,” Stair says to the congregation, while taking care to ensure his words are being recorded.
Stair, stumbling over the pronunciation of “Wikipedia” at various points, informs congregants that he had received an email from someone seeking to confirm Mack’s presence at the Overcomer Ministry community.
“‘Brother Stair, I saw on Wikipedia that Craig Mack has joined the Overcomer Ministry. Is that true?'” Stair quotes the email. “Well no, Craig Mack is dead. We have somebody that used to be Craig Mack, and he didn’t join anything. God joined him.”
To make sure his remarks won’t be doubted, Stair invites Mack, 42, to “speak for himself.”
Bouncing on his feet and fervently waving his hands in the air, Mack, wearing his trademark short afro says in his famous baritone voice, “My name is Craig Mack.”
Mack, born in Trenton, N.J., and a former New York resident, says in response to Stair’s questions that when he was in the world he used to do “wickedness” but was now “doing righteousness.” He then breaks into more praise as other congregants applaud and wave their hands in the air. (Christian Post)
While you can’t knock anyone for finding religion, you have to wonder why so many ex-Bad Boy artists do. Is Diddy really the devil? Is this a publicity stunt or serious? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
