1. Georgia’s Most Hated
I can’t say I didn’t see this coming for Gucci Mane. Months after he dissed your favorite rapper (T.I., Young Jeezy, Nas, pick a rapper), Gucci probably experienced one of his all-time worst weeks ever. You can only flaunt and boast so much before things come to an end. Think about Scarface (the movie, not rapper, actually, both kinda), New Jack City, King of New York, you name it. All those riches and lavish living comes to a nasty end and that can’t be any more clear than Gucci Mane’s situation. He had his Twitter page hacked (allegedly), a beef sparked from the hacker, Waka Flocka Flame no longer being down with him, an arrest warrant being issued and well, you should know the rest. Let’s focus on the biggest incidents this week.
Rapper Gucci Mane was being held in jail on an assault charge after a fan told police the artist smashed a champagne bottle on his head in a downtown Atlanta nightclub. Fulton County Jail records show that Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was in custody early Wednesday on a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon. It was unclear if Davis has an attorney. (Huffington Post)
And before you can say, “Arrf?,” this happens…
Rapper Gucci Mane was jailed in Georgia on Wednesday for allegedly hitting a fan in the head with a champagne bottle at an Atlanta nightclub earlier this month. A magistrate judge denied bond for Mane at his first court appearance on Wednesday, sheriff’s spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said. Mane did not enter a plea. His next hearing will be on April 10, Flanagan said. Mane’s attorney, Drew Findling, told Reuters he would appeal the denial of bond to a higher court. He said six witnesses interviewed by his office about what he described as a melee at the club did not pin blame on the rapper. “None of them said Gucci had anything to do with it,” Findling said. So we’ve got one of the most embarrasing legal matters I can think of in recent memory. You’re really telling me Gucci is in jail because he decided to knock a SOLDIER over the head with a bottle? SMH. Like, where do they do that at? I get doggy wasn’t dressed up in his G.I. Joe gear and all, but smahing bottles on people’s heads in 2013? C’mon. So he’s behind bars and then he’s getting straight up destroyed by Waka:
Flocka isn’t buying it. “Nah, that Twitter wasn’t hacked because we had a conversation before that. Real aggressive words like, ‘N—a let’s get up, let’s do this,’ ” Waka said when he appeared on “RapFix Live” on Wednesday (March 27). Waka didn’t reveal the details of that “real aggressive” conversation and was baffled as to why Gucci would label him disloyal. “I don’t know. Honest to God truth, I don’t know because I’m the loyalist person you could ever see. I took on a man’s beef, risked my life, hung out the window, risked my freedom. I never backed in a corner,” he said, referencing his involvement in Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy’s beef. “To my knowledge, it can’t be nothing but jealously or something because there is nothing I did disloyal.” (MTV)
Things get even stickier because Gucci Mane is managed by Flocka’s mom Deb Antney. Even if the old friends manage to patch things up, Waka says he will never do another deal with Gucci or work with him in the studio. “It ain’t gonna never be no business, ever in life. No music or nothing,” he vowed. “I don’t feel nothing he say out his mouth. It ain’t real.” The “O Let’s Do It” rapper even referenced Gucci’s recent legal woes. On Wednesday, it was reported that Gucc turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest after he was accused of assaulting a fan. “He ain’t it, he’s bad vibes around me,” he said. “I greet fans; he punches fans. It’s a difference.” (MTV)
LOL! Dissing Gucci at a Dipset reunion show? C’mon, Waka, you’re nasty for that! LOL! So just take all of this into consideration. Gucci’s being forced to stay in jail for the next couple weeks, the only high-profile doggy in his corner dissing him all over the place and everyone thinking you’re tight because Selena Gomez wouldn’t let you smash? SMH. Gucci, it’s going to be a long road to recovery after this silliness. Take this time to think about your mistakes and come up with a new gameplan.
