Thriller Thursday. It's a thrilling day today, so why not get it all started with Drake firing a shot at Macklemore? 1. It Had To Happen

Drake killed it at last night’s ESPN ESPY’s. There’s a lot of people who want to hate on him and make it out as if he would not be a great host, but for the sake of hip-hop, he really represented nicely. Complex has a moment Drake went off on Macklemore:

Drake has taken over the hosting duties for the 2014 ESPYs, bringing his improvisation, acting and music skills to the table. He flexed all three during the show, and capped it off with with two hilarious performances. The spoofs, which include the Macklemore roasting “Honorable Mention” and Drake dressed like a new age Billy Ocean serenading the crowd. Meanwhile, the crowd absolutely lost it when Drake said “Real music doesn’t always win Grammys but it’s OK” as a picture of Macklemore appeared on screen. (Complex)

Ouch? All things considered, Macklemore is living the life and Grammy or not, he makes some pretty legit music. Any reason we should expect Mack to fire back? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Fighter & A Biter

What’s going down in Atlanta? It looks like something went down this week during a brawl and for the first time, it may have not been part of some staged moment. Could Joseline Hernandez have put herself in a position to get fired? TMZ has the info:

Smack talk about crack triggered the all-out brawl on the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” set … ending with a security guard getting a piece of flesh ripped off his body… and they say Joseline Hernandez is the culprit and they want her FIRED.

Cast and crew who were present during the melee tell TMZ … Tuesday night’s fight started when Benzino called Stevie J a crackhead. Stevie J then charged Benzino, yelling “f*** you.”

Stevie J’s GF Joseline then amped things up by attacking Benzino’s wife Althea, punching her in the face so hard everyone around heard a crack. Joseline then pulled out part of Althea’s weave.

But Joseline’s handiwork wasn’t done … Joseline then made a beeline for Waka Flocka Flame’s wife, Tami — yanking out Tami’s pony tail weave. Waka’s mom Debra jumped in, punching Joseline in the head and ripping out her extensions.

Security then booted Joseline from the set. On her way out she passed shower-rod queen Mimi Faust in the stairway … elbowing her in the back and shoving her down the stairs. (TMZ)

There’s a lot more information there for you to peep. Is this Atlanta show getting too much for television? It was funny at first but are people’s lives really being exposed and damaged? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Compton

Dr. Dre is a music god but could he really be a strong influence for students to aspire to? Is he worthy of being examined in classrooms and even in textbooks around the world? Los Angeles Times has a teaser:

Every fall, economics teacher Louis Stewart puts aside the textbooks and gives his students at Centennial High School in Compton a lesson in Dr. Dre 101.

He pulls out the Forbes magazine list of America’s richest celebrities and points to Dr. Dre, who is usually high on the list. Most of his students assume the only way a Compton native could have become so wealthy is through professional sports, Stewart says, “because that’s all they know.”

Stewart explains Dre’s rise from the streets of Compton to rapper to music producer to co-founder of Beats Electronics, the high-end, bass-heavy headphone and speaker company.

With Apple Inc.’s recent purchase of Beats for $3 billion, Dre (real name: Andre Young) is now being hailed around town as Compton’s first billionaire and an even more powerful role model in a community where opportunities for young people often seem few and far between. (Los Angeles Times)

It’s a great read if you have the time. Seeing how a teacher relies on Dre’s succcess to school students on being great without having to do sports. Great motivation? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That about wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the morning scoop from your favorite gossip sites.
