The key [to our products] is what’s not in it. What’s not in it is more important than what’s in it. We don’t formulate with ingredients that are going to rob the hair of moisture, dry it out or coat the hair. Our cleansers are sulfate free—sulfates are the drying determinate in shampoos that really get the suds factor going, but it dries your hair out. Then, we don’t formulate with silicone. Silicone coats the hair and blocks out moisture, which causes dryness in the long run. [We use] a combination of natural moisturizers, natural oils, no silicone, no sulfates and definitely no synthetic oils.
