Beyoncé Flaunts Booty Shorts, Mad Rapper’s Mad At “Control” Responses, Donald Glover Hooks Up W/ Porn Star?

Finally Friday. It was a race but we finally managed to reach Friday so why not celebrate with some shots of Beyoncé not only wearing her short hairdo but also in booty shorts? Speaking of booty, it seems the Mad Rapper thinks the Kendrick Lamar “Control” responses are pretty much azz. With azz still on your mind, did Donald Glover hire one of the biggest in the adult industry? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Miss Bey Booty

Is Beyoncé’s hair making all the difference in her overall body? Well maybe only you can judge that call. It turns out Bey wanted to enjoy some summer fun down in Miami and let loose with some pretty revealing clothing, which happen to be shorts and a tank top. Miss Info TV has the pics:

A week after sending shockwaves online, Beyoncé showed off her new and shorter hairdo during some family time out in Miami on Thursday afternoon. Queen Bey was spotted with husband Jay-Z and their daughter Blue Ivy leaving Sylvano’s in Miami Beach. Wearing a cut-off top saying “NAME BRAND” and denim shorts, Bey showed off her shorter blonde hair as they were escorted out the Italian restaurant by security.

Currently on a two-week break, Beyoncé’s “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” resumes this weekend in England, before returning to the 2nd annual “Made In America” festival curated by Jay-Z on July 31 in Philadelphia. (Miss Info TV)

Even with a baby, wedding ring and new hairdo, is there any R&B artist that’s even coming close to the beauty that makes up Beyoncé? Once upon a time you would have said Rihanna but it seems those days are over. #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Tell Em Why U Still Mad

Is the Mad Rapper making a long-awaited comeback? Sorta. It seems the overwhelming amount of reponses to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” track has caught his attention and, more importantly, are not impressing him. Complex has the scoop:

It’s been a couple days since Kendrick Lamar unleashed “Control” and set the rap world on fire (What’s a Big Sean?). Since then, every rapper you thought you’d never listen to again (because hey, it’s not 2009 anymore) has come out of the woodworks with a so-called “response.” There’s been so many responses in fact, we had to do a roundup of some of the most talked about responses.

But according to at least person, the responses haven’t been up to par. The Mad Rapper just came out of nowhere and dropped his own song called “Cotrol” and made fun of Joell Ortiz, Cassidy, Fred Da Godson and just about everyone else who has struck back at Kendrick.

In case you don’t remember, The Mad Rapper is one of the most memorable fictional characters from rap songs. He was the star of several skits on various Bad Boy albums in the late ’90s and was later featured on 50 Cent’s infamous “How To Rob.”

Peep the track below and tell’em why you mad son. What do you think of Mad Rapper’s response? Is it worth the listen or was Joell Ortiz’ version more John Blaze than this? (Complex)

While you can’t take it too serious, it’s great to see Kendrick actually brought the Mad Rapper out of retirement. Any chance we’ll hear more of these gems? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. The Unexpected

Donald Glover is not your average rapper, let alone actor, and yet he takes things up a few notches in a new short film called “Clapping for the Wrong Reasons.” It might take a few times of watching before a message really develops, but it can really hold your interest nonetheless. BuzzFeed has it covered:

It confused a lot of people, and led others to wildly try and analyze it. Why is Danielle Fishel aka Topanga in the same video as Chance the Rapper and Trinidad Jame$ and producer Flying Lotus? Porn star Abella Anderson also appears in the film, which confuses matters even further.
Like the trailer, the film itself is largely characterized by its strangely melancholy atmosphere. It’s also kind of unsettling, and at times even cringeworthy — just check the 17:06 minute mark.
While Glover wrote the film (though some of the dialogue feels so natural, it feels like much of it could’ve been improv), it’s directed by Hiro Murai, who’s mostly known for his work in music videos. He most recently directed Earl Sweatshirt’s video for “Hive,” which is similarly dark and contemplative. (Fun fact: He also directed Usher’s “DJ’s Got Us Fallin’ In Love Again.”) (BuzzFeed)

Is it worth really trying to analyze or can this film just be appreciated for the artistry that it is? Is Donald Glover going to up the ante with something even bigger? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That about wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the morning scoop from your favorite gossip sites.

    • Crisis Mr. Swagger

Mad Rapper is a dude from the 90′s that rolled with then Puff Daddy aka Diddy. If I am not mistaken, he was part of the Bad Boy Records production team called The Hitmen. The Mad Rapper’s real name might be Derick Angelettie. He’s the guy that you hear doing the intro to Biggie’s ‘Kick in The Door’ which was supposedly a subliminal Nas diss.
