[After recently dropping his star-studded We The Plug compilation album, mega producer Hit-Boy tells SOHH readers how he managed to snag everyone from Kid Cudi to Young Dro on the new studio release.]

The collaborations came about for different reasons.

The collaboration we have with Kid Cudi comes from us being on G.O.O.D. Music. We just kept our relationship and had a great line of communication.

Everybody who came through heard the records and they didn't really ask to get on the songs.

I remember Cudi came to the studio just to hear one of the songs and didn't even ask to get on. We were just there doing some other stuff and he decided to get on the song. The same thing happened with Young Dro. He came by and was working with Price from Audio Push and ended up just being on one of the tracks.

Lil Debbie is my homegirl and ended up just coming through and giving a verse. It kind of just grew by itself.

I want everyone to know We The Plug was just meant to be an introduction to the sounds and to the vibes of where we're going with the music. It's real and it's got soul to it but it's still hard-hitting and new. I want people to get warmed up to it.
