Young Money's Drake is giving fans something to jam to for this upcoming week with the unexpected release of his new track, "0 to 100." #NewDrizzy
The Toronto native released his new record on Sunday (June 1).
While his YMCMB family is performing at Summer Jam, Drake comes through with something new for your Sunday listening pleasure. On "0 to 100," produced by Boi-1da and co-produced by Noah "40? Shebib and Nineteen85, October's Very Own declares himself "the rookie and the vet" and shouts out Hit-Boy. The beat switches up midway and Drizzy takes an introspective turn. He also announces spring 2015 release dates for his OVO Sound crew including PARTYNEXTDOOR, Reps Up P, Majid Jordan, OB OBrien, and himself. (Rap-Up)
Drizzy made headlines this weekend over a pair of designed OVO-themed Air Jordan sneakers.
OVO crew is about to look real fresh for the summer. After designing an OVO Air Jordan 12 and Jordan 10, Drake is back with another. This time he brings his Black & Gold traditional colors to the Air Jordan 6. Maybe he's not aware of DMP 6?s, but Jordan Brand taught us years ago this colorway is fire. Shout out to Drake getting his own PE's for the team, thats how you really put on for the squad. Maybe he'll design a cleat for his bestfriend Johnny Manziel who was caught wearing 6?s in practice. (The Shoe Game)
The rap superstar designed his own OVO Air Jordan 12s last winter.
Did you spend the weekend tracking down that new pair of Jordan 10s? While you were up to that, recent Jordan Brand signee Drake was somewhere relaxing ahead of the Grammys show, knowing that he'd not have to worry about access to exclusive Jordans. Proof comes in the form of his Air Jordan 10 "OVO" and Air Jordan 12 "OVO" pairs-there are two colors of each, and all four feature a deluxe stingray leather treatment. (Sneaker News)
Drake and fellow rap star Jay Z lead the upcoming 2014 BET Awards.
BET has announced the nominees for the 2014 BET Awards. Beyoncé and Jay Z take the lead with four nominations each. Beyoncé is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration ("Drunk In Love"), and Video of the Year twice ("Partition," "Drunk In Love"). Besides being nominated alongside Beyoncé for Video of the Year and twice for Best Collaboration, Jay is also nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist. The nominations announcement comes two days after footage leaked of Solange attacking Jay Z in a The Standard Hotel elevator the night of the Met Gala. Drake, Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams and August Alsina follow behind with three nominations each. (Billboard)
