Odd Future's Tyler, the Creator has sparked tensions after making a dicey comment toward Hustle Gang's Iggy Azalea which resulted in a short-lived Twitter war this week. #NoBeefJustTweets
Iggy jumped onto Twitter late Thursday (May 15) following a jab fired at her courtesy of Tyler's "106 & Park" television appearance.
"Tyler the creator is beyond immature. I've always believed you had something more to offer the world, Shame to see you be so rude.," Iggy wrote May 15.
"People that make enemies and talk shit about ppl they've never even said hi to trip me out. I see it all the time... Strange world."
"@f*cktyler Do ya thing, get your promo no skin off my back. the energy you put out is what you eventually get back...doesn't effect me." (Iggy Azalea's Twitter)
Shortly after her comments, Tyler publicly reached out to Iggy and apologized.
"@IGGYAZALEA BABY GIRL THAT WASNT ME I DONT DRESS LIKE THAT WHATCHU TALKIN BOUT? pic.twitter.com/NhC8ePncFL," Tyler wrote May 15.
"IGGY I DIDNT MEAN TO HURT YOUR FEELINGS"
"IGGYAZALEA DEADASS I APOLOGIZE THO I DIDNT THINK PEOPLE WOULD TAKE THAT SERIOUS HAHA" (Tyler, the Creator's Twitter)
According to reports, Tyler took a slight jab at Iggy during the BET broadcast.
Odd Future is always entertaining, and their stop by BET's 106 & Park today was just as crazy as ever. First, the group came out dressed like prototypical rappers, using all of the modern day rapper slang. BET then decided to play a game with the group, which involved picking out which female singers they would marry, kiss or diss. One of the options was Iggy Azalea, for which Tyler, The Creator replied with, "she stinks." (Complex)
Earlier this year, Iggy spoke on not investing much time into admiring the NBA until becoming romantically involved with her NBA boyfriend Nick Young.
"He's heard parts [of my new album]," Iggy said, referring to Los Angeles Lakers boyfriend Nick Young. "I'm happy. I'm just glad that he is taller than me. I'm a fan of his. He makes me [like the Lakers]. I hate when girls become their boyfriends, it really annoys me, so I can't sit here and pretend like I like basketball but I didn't. I really didn't care about basketball. I think when you have an invested interest in somebody, it makes you interested in that and I love watching my mother play soccer on her women's team when I'm in Australia and I love watching Nick play and the Lakers. I watch him play at the gym too and still could be just as into it. I think anyone understands when they have a friend or a boyfriend or a kid, they like whatever it is." (WiLD 94.9)
