Wu-Tang Clan head RZA recently dished on the punches heard around the globe when Solange Knowles' now-infamous elevator attack on Jay Z went viral. #NuthinToFWith
In Bobby Digital's opinion, everyone has family issues which are kept behind closed doors.
"It's always somebody in the family that just make your day go different, man. It's probably one of those days for him. But blessings to their family. To me they're one of the most beautiful families we have in America. Especially in Hip Hop. It's a very unique family, him and Beyoncé. And they really represent so much black love for us. But look, we got crazy cousins, crazy sisters, crazy aunts and uncles in our families, man. That happens. And I ain't saying Solange cause I know her personally. She's a real good artist herself, but that's family. So, they'll figure that out." (VLAD TV)
Instead of taking the incident serious, Jay's ex-pal Dame Dash recently laughed off Solange's elevator punches.
"I was laughing. That sh*t was funny," Dash said with no hesitancy. "Jay has to worry about perception because corporate people pay him," the Harlem native said. "I thought what was ironic about it was people got to see how he plays sh*t off, and how something crazy can happen and then four seconds later when it's cameras on, they act like nothing's going on. That was interesting to see that and how good he was at it. But then it just kind of exposes it. It's like how do you trust anything moving forward?" (HHW)
A few weeks ago, Jay and Solange posed together in New Orleans
Photos posted on Beyonce's website Monday show the smiling siblings hanging out in New Orleans with their family. The pictures seem to illustrate that the "Crazy in Love" singer wants everyone to know that she and her younger sister have put the past behind them, after footage of a clash between Beyonce's husband Jay Z and Solange at a Met Gala after-party was leaked earlier this month. In a statement released to the media, the Carter-Knowles emphasized they were still a tight-knit family despite the fight drama.
"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family." (Statement)
