Roc Nation's Jay Electronica has publicly revealed his support for Odd Future singer Frank Ocean and is rallying behind the fellow elusive artist's strong comeback.
Jay Elect jumped onto his Twitter page last night (April 18) to big up the award-winning singer.
"ps... dear frank ocean.. please come back w some good music. we love you.," Jay tweeted April 18. (Jay Electronica's Twitter)
Based on a Tumblr post from last week, Ocean revealed his contemplation in ditching a live Coachella performance for a completed LP.
"I'M OPENING UP FOR OUTKAST THIS SUMMER AT PEMBERTON SO I MIGHT SKIP ON COACHELLA TO STAY IN THE GROOVE AND FINISH THIS B*TCH... I FEEL LIKE THEY'RE FINNA WILD OUT THO. F*CK IT.. BRING THE HELICOPTER OUT." (Frank Ocean's Tumblr)
Last month, reports revealed Frank's long-awaited follow-up to channel ORANGE was finally forming.
Since deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts, the reclusive singer has shared little about the follow-up to his 2012 Grammy-winning album channel ORANGE. But in the late hours of Monday, he posted a photo of himself on Tumblr, reassuring fans that a new album is on the way. Photographer Nabil snapped the Odd Future crooner seated in the studio with his back facing the camera. "Frank in the lab.. Making sophomore album game," said Nabil. (Rap-Up)
Last fall, Ocean inked an open blog post following an extensive music biz hiatus.
"mind is pretty blank right now. i'm sitting in my kitchen listening to age of consent by new order. i like this song.. i f*ck with that gwen stefani song 'cool' too, i never knew 3000 played keyboards on it- sounds like some teen coming of age movie. i used my birthday week pass to stay in my apartment for too long.. sit still and catch up on some information. i saw that movie 'glengarry glen ross' and 'bottle rocket', 'pi', 'blackfish' (sea world is the devil), 'this is the end' (hahaha), 'the purge'(smh), some funny horror movie i forgot the name of '...'
