Grammy-winning producer Pharrell Williams has reunited with protégé Pusha T and showed some love alongside hitmaker Future with his now-infamous oversized hat in the new "Move That Dope" music video.
In the four-minute visual, Pharrell reminds fans his buffalo hat is here to stay.
The omnipresent Pharrell Williams just keeps marching on. Just three days after his second solo LP, G I R L, was officially released to the masses, Skateboard P makes an appearance in Future's new music video for "Move That Dope," in a huge departure from the happy-go-lucky tracks that made him the toast of Billboard, the Grammys and the Oscars. The Benny Boom-directed clip finds Future Vandross in an alley in Los Angeles, flanked by Pusha T and Pharrell after the opening sequence teases with a good old-fashioned police chase. (MTV)
Instead of lashing out or placing blame on anyone, Skateboard P recently spoke out on losing at the Oscars with his "Happy" song.
"I feel OK. That experience was incredible. ... The album is No. 1 at the moment in about 60 countries on iTunes, like what. I'm like, thank you, guys. I attribute all these great breaks and opportunities that the universe has given me." (Hot 97)
This week, NBA champion LeBron James bigged up P's new solo album and even named "Happy" his family's favorite tune.
"S/O to my homie @pharrell on his latest LP "Girl"!! Keep killing all them charts fam. Num.1 everywhere and ofcourse "Happy" is my kids and I favorite song in a long time! Well it's everyone's favorite, just makes u feel good about yourself! #SkateBoardP #Grammys #Oscars #StriveForGreatness," James wrote March 3. (LeBron James' Instagram)
Pusha T resorted to his Instagram page to post up "PHARRELL WAS ROBBED" followed by a series of angry emoticons following Sunday's Academy Awards show.
Pusha T was not happy with the Oscars this year. The Virginia rapper took to Instagram to vent his frustration that his long time friend and collaborator Pharrell was robbed from a award. Last night's 86th Annual Academy Awards (March 2) Pharrell did not win an Oscar for his smash hit single "Happy." Instead the award went to Robert Lopez for "Frozen." (XXL Mag)
