Young Money's Drake proved just how much of a celebrity he is this week after causing some pandemonium from fans and forcing law enforcement to come through his London after party.
According to reports, the Drizzy near-disaster went down last night (March 26) following his O2 Arena concert.
A rep for the Met Police confirmed Thursday to E! News that cops were called at approximately 2:23 a.m. in response to reports of a fight at a venue on Rupert Street. Officers showed up and dispered roughly 100 people who were gathered outside the nightclub DSTRKT, apparently in hopes of getting a glimpse at Drake. He was spotted leaving the venue just after 2 a.m., bodyguards in tow and snuggled up in a flashy brown fur coat. Per the police, no arrests were made and no crimes or injuries were reported. (How fitting that fans of a nice-seeming fellow like Drake be relatively unruly!) (E! Online)
The news follows buzz about handfuls of London Drake fans falling victim to a concert scam.
The Started From The Bottom rapper played three shows at London's O2 Arena to packed audiences, but bosses at the venue have revealed they refused entry to as many as 170 people a night amid a major ticket scam. The fake tickets are said to have been purchased from secondary sellers such as touts or via social media or classifieds advertisements. (New-Magazine UK)
Grammy-winning singer Rihanna was spotted at one of Drizzy's UK shows earlier this week.
After a brief trip to the U.S., Rihanna returned to London to be by Drake's side. The singer was spotted in the audience at the rapper's second to last show on his "Would You Like a Tour?" at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday evening. While smoking a blunt, she took in the concert from behind the soundboard as he performed "Hold On, We're Going Home." The rumored couple later made their way to the after-party at Tramp nightclub in Mayfair around 1:30 a.m. (Rap-Up)
According to recent reports, they had officially reached exclusive status this month.
Multiple sources extremely close to the couple tell us, Rihanna and Drake have gone from casually hooking up to seriously dating ... they've decided to give it a serious shot. We're told Rihanna wants to spend as much time with Drake as her schedule will allow -- because he treats her better than anyone she's ever been with. Not a high bar. (TMZ)
