While the world continues to figure out if a DMX and George Zimmerman fight is really going down, rap crew Onyx's Sticky Fingaz has shared some serious insight into the discussion.
In Sticky's perspective, he won't be happy until Zimmerman is lifeless.
Sticky laid down a major rant this weekend when we asked about the Zimmerman boxing match being canceled, telling us ... "Everybody gonna be mad at me for saying this, but I don't give two s**ts. Somebody should f**king clap that ni**a!" Ironically, his rant came just hours after Trayvon Martin's own family held a rally for peace to mark what would have been his 19th birthday. Sticky is not in a forgiving place, adding ... "Zimmerman is not a f**king celebrity. He's a f**king savage animal that killed a young black teen." (TMZ)
Over the weekend, celebrity promoter Damon Feldman revealed certain aspects of his personal life made him realize the fight should not go down.
Speaking to Rolling Stone after the cancellation, Feldman elaborated on his decision. "Zimmerman was the wrong person to have in this," said Feldman. "I looked into the eyes of my son and daughter today and couldn't imagine someone killing them and getting off scot-free. It just really hurt. It was a tough decision because I could have made two million dollars here, but at least I have my dignity. I'm happy. Thank you." (Rolling Stone)
X's representative Domenick Nati also released a statement to address the cancellation.
"Damon Feldman has announced that the George Zimmerman fight is cancelled via his Twitter. As previously stated, DMX never agreed to the fight and we thank you for all of the support from DMX's fans. This situation will not affect any of DMX's upcoming concerts in America or around the world." (Statement)
Heading into the weekend, DMX revealed his confidence in dominating the controversial face-off.
"I was challenged," X said in an interview. "I still haven't really decided if I was going to do it but if I did do it, whatever money was supposed to go to him would have to go to charity. ... I will glady beat the sh*t out of him. ... When you fight with your heart, you're always going to win." (Fox Carolina News)
