With the hip-hop world still shocked over Lil' Kim announcing an unexpected pregnancy this week, new reports claim her unborn baby's father is a rapper named Mr. Papers.
According to reports, Papers has already taken responsibility for Kim's child.
Shortly after Kim's pregnancy made headlines, Mr. Papers posted a snap of himself on the photo-sharing site. "I heard everybody looking for me?????????????????" he wrote. Calling himself "Daddy" on Twitter, the New York-based rapper also retweeted news about Kim's pregnancy as well as congratulatory messages. "Congratz on the royal baby!" a tweet read, to which he answered, "Royal is a good name for the lil homie." He also thanked another person who congratulated him on the baby news. (Ace Showbiz)
Reports also claim the music duo have had an on-again, off-again relationship dating back two years ago.
She tweeted back in 2012 that she and Papers had broken up, thanking her fans for all their love and support and writing, "As of 2night me & Papers are officially over. No malice or bad blood. I'll see U guys soon. #12DaysofXmas." To which he replied, "@LilKim don't be so mad you fighting with ya self... Get ya facts str8 lol." But the couple obviously reconciled at some point: He collaborated on her remix of Rihanna's "Pour It Up" and starred with her in the music video that came out last March, and he once again was being referred to as her boyfriend. This week, the 39-year-old revealed she had been pregnant for a few months.
Rapper Lil' Kim is pregnant! "I'm so excited! I'm a few months along, I can't wait to be a mom!" Lil' Kim exclusively tells Us Weekly. Lil' Kim took to the stage at The Blonds Fashion Week after party in New York City on Wednesday night, Feb. 12 to announce her pregnancy, "I'm a mom, but I can turn it up a little!" she said as she rubbed her belly. The 39-year-old rapper doesn't plan on slowing down any time soon, "I'm still going to work," she tells Us, "I'm still going to be hardcore, the baby has made me even more of a beast!" (Us Magazine)
Despite widespread speculation, Kim kept her lips sealed on the child's father.
Right before performing "Lighters Up" she made sure to pay tribute to the late Notorious B.I.G. telling the crowd, "It's also going to be Biggie's birthday and the anniversary of his death soon so we [as she points to her belly] love you." Lil' Kim has chosen to keep the identity of the unborn baby's father private at this time. (Us Magazine)
