News: Jennifer Lopez Dragged Into Wild, Bizarre Naked Pics Scandal
Sunday, Jan 12, 2014 6:05PM
Hollywood diva Jennifer "J. Lo" Lopez is making headlines this weekend after reportedly being dragged into a bizarre nude photo scandal which involves a $10,000 lawsuit.
According to reports, a man named Rodrigo Ruiz has filed the hefty suit against J. Lo and claimed she requested him to send naked photos along with his demo music.
He claims the letters led him to believe he had a chance at a music career -- and even a romantic relationship with Lopez, but she never followed through and he eventually gave up hope. Ruiz says he was so depressed he sought out professional help. Ruiz sent us a few of the 3-line letters he received from "Lopez" and they're obviously bogus ... the first reads, "I just wanted to let you know that I do remember you and that I am interested in you. I have plans on leaving my husband. But I can't say much right now so that's it for now. Send me pictures of you both with clothes and without clothes." (TMZ)
Coincidentally, a 53-year-old woman may be behind the entire scandal.
In addition to the lawsuit, Ruiz filed a police report claiming sexual harassment. Ruiz still believes Lopez sent these letters to him, but records show the P.O. box he replied to is owned by a 53-year-old L.A. woman. We called her to ask about the lawsuit and everything else, and she nervously concocted a lame explanation about operating a Jennifer Lopez fan mail exchange ... and hung up on us. A rep for J.Lo tells TMZ, "this is a small claims matter that appears to be a desperate attempt for notoriety. Ms Lopez has never seen or met the plaintiff, nor has she ever communicated with him. We believe this matter should be summarily dismissed." (TMZ)
Last year, J. Lo and fellow singer Beyoncé managed to land on Forbes' "Highest Paid Women in Music."
What female musical performer made the most money in 2013? If you guessed Madonna, you'd be correct. The Material Girl tops Forbes' annual list of the 10 highest-paid women in music with a jaw-dropping $125 million. Coming in at No. 2 is Lady Gaga, who made $80 million this year, followed by Taylor Swift, who crooned her way to $55 million worth of success. Beyoncé came in fourth with $53 million, followed by Jennifer Lopez ($45 million), Rihanna ($43 million), Katy Perry ($39 million), Pink ($32 million), Carrie Underwood ($31 million) and Mariah Carey ($29 million).
