Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and B.o.B.'s new solo albums are both destined for the music chart with impressive one-day sales projections.
According to reports, Bobby Ray's new Underground Luxury is destined for a Top 20 debut.
YOUR NEW RELEASE: Yep, we're in the singular mode, as B.o.B. is the only major new release this week. Based on one-day sales, he's looking at a first week of 35-40k. Meanwhile, Beyoncé will enjoy another week atop the chart #1 with 250-275k, in which case she'll be nearing the 900k mark RTD; with physical product not hitting stores until the end of this week, the Queen's just getting started. This week, B.o.B. spoke to SOHH affiliate GetFrush and gave his top reasons readers should buy his new LP.
"Underground Luxury was executive produced by B.o.B, for B.o.B fans to Bobby Ray fans. This album will introduce listeners to a evolved, more mature sound while still giving them what they expect from me." (GetFrush)
The Atlanta native also talked about how much of his personal life is shed on the project.
"This is the first time I've opened up about my childhood on an album. I never really let people behind the curtain of how it was for me and the thoughts I had coming up in Decatur, GA. On "One Day" my fans will get to know the young Bobby Ray." (GetFrush)
Since dropping last week via iTunes, Queen B conquered previously uncharted territory with her latest number one debut on Wednesday (December 18).
Beyoncé has made history. The singer's self-titled album officially debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making her the first woman to hit No. 1 with her first five studio albums. The visual LP, which features 14 songs and 17 videos, follows her five previous No. 1 albums including 2003's Dangerously in Love, 2006's B'Day, 2008's I Am... Sasha Fierce, and 2011's 4. She joins the company of DMX and folk group the Kingston Trio, whose first five albums also debuted at No. 1. (Rap-Up)
