Diehard Riff Raff fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the Houston hip-hop artist has announced the new release date of his delayed Neon Icon album.

Barring any further setbacks, the new project is expected to hit store shelves in early 2014.

"NEON iCON THE DEBUT ALBUM DROPPiNG JANUARY 28 ON THESE STREETS THEN ALL COPY CATS WiLL BECOME OBSOLETE," Riff tweeted October 31. (Riff Raff's Twitter)

Back in August, Riff spoke on his album facing off against Young Money stud Drake's Nothing Was The Same album.

"It's not a competition. It's my way of doing community service cause I'm trying to save on the environment and the gas money," he tells XXL during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. "Instead of going back and buying my album a couple weeks later, you might as well go drive and make one trip. Pick up everything. Buy both albums. I'm just being nice to the environment." Just like every diehard fan, Drake's last new friend will certainly be picking up Nothing Was The Same in a few weeks. "Of course. I can't wait for it to come out," he said. (XXL Mag)

A few days prior, Raff acknowledged Drake's album being pushed back a week.

"RiFF RAFF & DRAKE ALBUM DROPPiNG THE SAME DAY http://instagram.com/p/dTYDOns1lC/ ," Riff tweeted August 22. (Riff Raff's Twitter)

Earlier this year, buzz about a possible Riff and Drizzy collaboration coming together bubbled online.

RiFF RAFF's publicist confirms the information he's been hinting at for a couple of days now: yes, he's doing a song with Drake. This is an all-star team-up if we've ever heard of one. "SENDiNG MY VERSE OVER TODAY @Drake @OVO40", RiFF RAFF wrote on Twitter last night, around the same time that Drake posted the above photo of the pair on his Instagram. (RiFF RAFF then posted another photo of himself with Drake and producer Noah "40" Shebib.) (Pitchfork)
