G.O.O.D Music head Kanye West has cleared the air on why he decided to ride with Kendrick Lamar for the new Yeezus Tour and how come his roster did not turn into automatic headliners.

In an interview with radio personality Sway Calloway this week, Ye downplayed not having the G.O.O.D. roster touring with him.

It's been a remarkable year for G.O.O.D. Music. Not only did Kanye West release his sonically groundbreaking Yeezus LP, but 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Pusha T all released albums in conjunction with Kanye's label. So why didn't West decide to bring any of his artists with him on his Yeezus Tour? "Well, every artist that makes good music is on G.O.O.D. Music," Kanye reasoned before rattling off a list of names. "Drake on G.O.O.D. Music, Wayne on G.O.O.D. Music, James Blake on G.O.O.D. Music, Frank Ocean on G.O.O.D. Music. You make good music, you're on G.O.O.D. Music, in my mind." (MTV)

Kanye also used the opportunity to kill speculation of G.O.O.D Music having problems with fellow major labels like Cash Money Records.

"I'm not marginalized by the brand of the deal that I've taken from Universal in order to cut some of my homeboys some checks so that we can work on creative projects together," he said of his Def Jam-distributed label. "I'm not marginalized by the branding concept of G.O.O.D. Music versus Cash Money. All I do is text Baby like, 'Yo we need to do something together.' We're not each other's enemies." (MTV)

A few days ago, Ye explained the big delay behind G.O.O.D Music's Cruel Winter compilation album.

"I haven't named my next album but I've started on it," Kanye explaiend in an interview. "I'm collecting, I'm just constantly working. [Cruel Winter?] We think about it. I go back and forth on it but we keep on missing the winter. [laughs] That's the only problem. [It's here now,] but the album ain't. [laughs] We think about dropping a Cruel Winter and I like to put out more product, I'd like to have another album out by next summer. I'm going to go into the studio as soon as we leave here. I got this remix that I did with Miley Cyrus." (Power 99 FM)

Last summer, G.O.O.D Music's Pusha T admitted there were too many individual albums from the camp to make Cruel Winter a realistic release.

"Nah man, we're not doing the Cruel Winter album or the Cruel Summer sequel," Pusha revealed in an interview. "There's too many projects going on. Like I said, you got the Yeezus album, you got Hall of Fame from Big Sean, you got my album, My Name Is My Name, you got 2 Chainz project, like, once we get all that situated, then I'm sure [it might happen]. I mean, you even got Common coming. At this time, right now, we're not working on no compilations, man." (Power 88)
